Proverbs 3:1–18 (NKJV)
My son, do not forget my law, But let your heart keep my commands;
For length of days and long life And peace they will add to you.
Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart,
And so find favor and high esteem In the sight of God and man.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil.
It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones.
Honor the Lord with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase;
So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine.
My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, Nor detest His correction;
For whom the Lord loves He corrects, Just as a father the son in whom he delights.
Happy is the man who finds wisdom, And the man who gains understanding;
For her proceeds are better than the profits of silver, And her gain than fine gold.
She is more precious than rubies, And all the things you may desire cannot compare with her.
Length of days is in her right hand, In her left hand riches and honor.
Her ways are ways of pleasantness, And all her paths are peace.
She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, And happy are all who retain her.

Key Text Prov 3:1-18
The key to experiencing the promises of God is to walk in obedience to God’s word. Rather than focus on sacrifice. The offering, fasting and prayer are essentials however, if we disobey Him all of our sacrifice are worthless. Prov 1:23-31
Turn at my rebuke; Surely I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you.
Because I have called and you refused, I have stretched out my hand and no one regarded,
Because you disdained all my counsel, And would have none of my rebuke,
I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your terror comes,
When your terror comes like a storm, And your destruction comes like a whirlwind, When distress and anguish come upon you.
“Then they will call on me, but I will not answer; They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me.
Because they hated knowledge And did not choose the fear of the Lord,
They would have none of my counsel And despised my every rebuke.
Therefore they shall eat the fruit of their own way, And be filled to the full with their own fancies.
Our obedience help prepare us to receive and enjoy what He has planned for us.
If you want to live long and prosper pay attention to the words of wisdom King Solomon expressed here
Don’t forget God’s law, embrace them in your heart. Prov 3:1-4
My son, do not forget my law, But let your heart keep my commands;
For length of days and long life And peace they will add to you.
Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart,
And so find favor and high esteem In the sight of God and man.
Trust in the Lord completely and don’t rely on your own opinions.
Acknowledge Him in all you do and rely on Him to guide you through
Good reputation, finding favour with God and man. Prov 3:3-4

And so find favor and high esteem In the sight of God and man.
But be prepared to be shaped by integrity. Let your yes be yes. Mean what you say and let it matter. Matt 5:37
But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.
Let Mercy and kindness rule your heart Prov 3:3 they both involve actions as well as attitudes. Hence a merciful person is not only loving, they are loyal and faithful and dependable.
Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart,
While a truthful person does not just believe what is true they stand for justice for others.
Thoughts and words are not enough our lives reveal whether we are truly merciful. As our actions must measure up to our attitudes.

Tithes and offering are not payment for His blessings, rather they are they evidence of our faith and obedience to Him.
LeTourneau says “if you give because it pays it won’t pay” God loves a cheerful giver 2 Cor 9:7
So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.
True wealth is not owning what money can buy and loosing what money cannot buy. Matt 16:26
For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
Giving to God help us conquer greed and help us to manage God resources properly consequently opening us up to receive God’s abundance.
