Introduction
Hello Dwell, this is Kenneth.
[1 second pause]
Today is Monday, October 29th. Thanks for joining us for today's Dwell Kids Daily!
[2 seconds of silence]
For the next few minutes, I invite you to join me as we look to our Great King by opening our hearts to hear from Him through the words of the Bible.

Silence
As we begin, let us remember that God calls His people, young and old, to be still and know that He is God. Let's take a few seconds to clear our minds, so that we can hear him better.

How can a young person live a pure life? By obeying your word, Father. Teach us today, so that we may delight in your will and walk in your ways.

Passage
Today our passage is from the Prophet Isaiah, chapter 56 verse 6-7:
6 Foreigners will join the Lord to serve him. They will worship and love him. They will worship him. They will obey the law about the Sabbath. They will keep the agreement with the Lord.
7 I will bring these people to my holy mountain. I will give them joy in my house of prayer. The offerings and sacrifices they place on my altar will please me. This is because my Temple will be called a house for prayer for people from all nations.”

Exhortation
Towards the end of his letter, the prophet Isaiah begins to describe how God is going to forever fix the mess the world has fallen into. It’s a grand plan that God has, and this is one of my favorite parts of the Bible.
In our passage today Isaiah, who is speaking the words of God, says that people from all the nations f the earth will stop rebelling against God, but will join him, and worship and love him. They will obey him as their good King. Now this is just why Abraham was called in Genesis 12. It was always God’s plan to use Abraham’s family to redeem all the families of the earth. Isaiah, who is himself still way back in the Old Testament, is telling of a day when God’s plan will be fulfilled.
He says that the Temple, the place of God’s dwelling on earth, with become a house of prayer for all nations.
Now here’s the marvelous truth. What was in the future for Isaiah, is in the now for us! The Church is God’s temple. The church is an international house of prayer. People from all over the globe love God, worship him, and obey him as their good King!
Call to Action: Let’s take a few seconds, right now, to marvel at the wonder our passage points to.

Closing Prayer
Let’s pray together.
[3 seconds of silence]
Father in heaven, we are the foreigners who love you, worship you, and honor you as the King of all things. The promises you made through the prophet Isaiah have come wonderfully true! We are so grateful for your faithfulness and kindness towards us. We pray this in the power of the Spirit and in the name of the Son, Jesus. Amen.
