As believers. we are as earthen vessels, with stored-up treasure
2 Corinthians 4:7 “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.”
A. We are precious in the sight of the Lord
Isaiah 43:4 “Since thou wast precious in my sight, Thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: Therefore will I give men for thee, And people for thy life.”
B. We must conduct ourselves in righteousness
1 Corinthians 13:5 “Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;”
C. We must see ourselves as God sees us
Colossians 1:25–27 “Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God; Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:”
look at yourselves and see how your gifts that God has given each one of us
Psalm 139:14 “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: Marvellous are thy works; And that my soul knoweth right well.”
We must show our devotion to christ
2 Corinthians 4:8–9 “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are
perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;”
