Psalm 73:28

But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.
Matthew 5:9 “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.”
Asaph -
A Levite; one of the leaders of David's choir (1 Chr. 6:39). Psalms 50 and 73-83 inclusive are attributed to him.
He is mentioned along with David as skilled in music, and a "seer" (2 Chr. 29:30).
The "sons of Asaph," mentioned in 1 Chr. 25:1, 2 Chr. 20:14, and Ezra 2:41, were his descendants.
Here we see the PRACTICES of the peacemakers:

I. There Must Be Drawing. v.28a

But it is good for me to draw near to God:
James 4:8
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

II. There Must Be Depending. v.28b

I have put my trust in the Lord GOD,
Proverbs 3:5–7
5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
Psalm 118:8
It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

III. There Must Be Declaring. v.28c

that I may declare all thy works.
Psalm 66:16
Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.
Psalm 118:17
I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.

Conclusion:

“Asaph” (that wrote this Psalm); his name means who gathers together
