Quietly resting in God recognizes who is trustworthy—God alone. 9-12 TRUST, PRAY, REST – THROUGH EVERYTHING – IN GOD ALONE! APPLICATION 1. In the midst of your fear, anxiety, depression, hardship, struggles emotionally, difficult circumstances, to what or whom are you turning? Turn to God alone for security; there are no other answers. APPLICATION 2. Understanding the reality of God and choosing to rest in Him is the answer for peace, therefore, seek to understand who God is! APPLICATION • • • If I don’t believe God is all-powerful, I will think my circumstances are beyond God. If I don’t believe God loves me, I will question his goodness towards me. If I don’t believe God is the judge, I will choose to do life my own way. APPLICATION 3. Write down what you truly believe about God and evaluate those beliefs by Scripture. 4. My circumstances don’t control my stability in life – my trust in God does. 5. Because God cares, pour your heart out to God and trust in His character. TRUST, PRAY, REST – THROUGH EVERYTHING – IN GOD ALONE!
