2 Corinthians 6:15 KJV 1900
And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
Deuteronomy 13:13 KJV 1900
Certain men, the children of Belial, are gone out from among you, and have withdrawn the inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which ye have not known;
Judges 19:22 KJV 1900
Now as they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city, certain sons of Belial, beset the house round about, and beat at the door, and spake to the master of the house, the old man, saying, Bring forth the man that came into thine house, that we may know him.
1 Samuel 2:12 KJV 1900
Now the sons of Eli were sons of Belial; they knew not the Lord.
1 Samuel 25:25 KJV 1900
Let not my lord, I pray thee, regard this man of Belial, even Nabal: for as his name is, so is he; Nabal is his name, and folly is with him: but I thine handmaid saw not the young men of my lord, whom thou didst send.
Job 34:8 KJV 1900
Which goeth in company with the workers of iniquity, And walketh with wicked men.
Proverbs 6:12 KJV 1900
A naughty person, a wicked man, Walketh with a froward mouth.
Nahum 1:11 KJV 1900
There is one come out of thee, that imagineth evil against the Lord, A wicked counseller.
Proverbs 6:12–19 KJV 1900
A naughty person, a wicked man, Walketh with a froward mouth. He winketh with his eyes, He speaketh with his feet, He teacheth with his fingers; Frowardness is in his heart, He deviseth mischief continually; He soweth discord. Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; Suddenly shall he be broken without remedy. These six things doth the Lord hate: Yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, And hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, Feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, And he that soweth discord among brethren.
Ephesians 2:2 KJV 1900
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
Proverbs 4:24 KJV 1900
Put away from thee a froward mouth, And perverse lips put far from thee.
1 Samuel 25:3 KJV 1900
Now the name of the man was Nabal; and the name of his wife Abigail: and she was a woman of good understanding, and of a beautiful countenance: but the man was churlish and evil in his doings; and he was of the house of Caleb.
955. Βελίαλ Belíal; masc . noun transliterated from the Hebr . Belīyyaʿal (1100) meaning wickedness (1 Sam. 25:25). Belial, a word applied by the sacred writers to such lewd, profligate, and vile persons as seem to regard neither God nor man (Deut. 13:13; Judg. 19:22; 1 Sam. 2:12). Used as an appellation of Satan by the Apostle Paul in 2 Cor. 6:15 to the citizens of Corinth known for their lewdness and profligacy, “What concord hath Christ with Belial?” who is the prince of licentiousness and corruption.
Unbelievers are aggressive unbelievers. Not agnostics [or an ignoramus, the Latin for agnostic] but those who drag down others with their aggressive resistance to the Spirit of God.
6143. עִקְּשׁוּתʿiqqešûṯ: A feminine noun meaning perversion, deceitfulness. It is used to describe a mouth that speaks without integrity, that does not speak truth but rather deception and immorality; a mark of an evil, worthless person (Prov. 4:24; 6:12).
The sons of Eli in 1 Samuel 19.22 were also sons of Belial.
In Judges 19.22, the worthless fellows were queers! Violent queers, like those who wanted to know the Angels that were taking Lot out of Sodom.
Two more words that mean completely worthless: Nabal, an actual guy, whose name has come to completely stupid, to the point where his wife, Abigail, had to point out how stupid he was; and when he realized it, he died from the shock.
5037. נָבָלnāḇāl: A proper noun designating Nabal, the name of a rogue and boor who refused to give needed supplies to David and arrogantly insulted David and his men as they were fleeing Saul. His name means a particularly boorish type of “fool” (1 Sam. 25:25). His wife revealed his own folly to him, and he died from the shock (1 Sam. 25:36–39). And the second word [H5038], has Nabal’s name in it, and it means: zombie or corpse!
5039. נְבָלָהneḇālāh: A feminine noun meaning folly, a disgraceful act. It refers to deeds that are especially serious, grave, sinful, arrogant: rape, harlotry (Gen. 34:7; Deut. 22:21); breaking of Israel’s covenantal laws (Josh. 7:15); sodomy (Judg. 19:23, 24); offering incorrect or vain advice in an arrogant way (Job 42:8); foolish talk (Isa. 9:17[16]); spiritual adultery (Jer. 29:23). Here below is the trifecta, nablut = to perform lewd actions in order to seduce a lover!
5040. נַבְלוּתnaḇlûṯ: A feminine noun signifying lewdness. It refers to gross sexual behavior to excite sexual desire. It is used of Israel’s lewd actions to attract her forbidden lovers (Hos. 2:10[12]).
