So- we have spent the morning reminding each other to fix our gaze on Jesus- to view our circumstances through His glory.
But we know that as we walk out of these doors- in an instant it can be so easy to forget- to start looking elsewhere.
As we move into this year- let’s lovingly come alongside each other and remind each other…
to “check our gaze..”
wake up each morning and fix your eyes on Jesus- behold his glory.
The truth is..it's easy to go through the motions and MISS God's glory.
We can serve week in and week out at BSF- welcoming women, wiping noses, teaching God's word, even sitting and listening to others stories of transformation and still miss His glory.
Serving God is not easy...we all know that at some point....for each of us...clouds roll in and God's glory gets obscured...we miss Him- not because He isn't there, but because our gaze is no longer on Him.
So we have to ask ourselves...how do I turn my gaze towards Jesus when the clouds roll in?
Where should I turn when it feels like my view is obstructed?
Sometimes you want to see the glory- but you just see the clouds.
So...in those moments...Remember:
WHY we do what we do.
but most important...remember...WHO- who we are serving
Our vision at BSF is to Magnify God and mature his people.
Hollie Roberts recently said: “God doesn’t need us to make Him bigger but He does call us to proclaim Him to the nations; we are the mouthpiece to put him on display; not about one moment, but about how all those moments come together.”- Hollie Roberts
BSF leadership is an immense privilege and honor...
We can make it about us..or we can make it about God.
So ladies.… Check your gaze.
Spend the next few weeks reading Revelation 1 to get your heart and mind ready for this year.
Because Revelation is first and foremost about Jesus..
Jesus. the Risen Lord… is the thread that runs from Revelation’s powerful beginning all the way to its glorious end.
Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega—first in pre-eminence and the final word in God’s promises.
- Jesus is the Son of God in His deity and Son of Man in His humanity—our High Priest before the Father.
- Jesus is the all-wise, all-knowing God who is righteous in all His ways, including His just judgments.
- Jesus is the one who holds all things in His powerful right hand as He speaks forth light, life, and truth.
- Jesus is the Living One who alone holds the keys of eternal life and eternal death.
Revelation unveils our eyes to see Jesus Christ in all His exalted glory.
It propels us toward a personal holiness that keeps us ready for our returning King.
And above all, Revelation gives us Hope.
So walk in the HOPE and COMFORT it provides as you experience the glory of God’s presence and the light of the lamb.
Be still…behold Him…
Rev 22:26 says:– He who testifies to these things says,
Yes, I am coming soon.
Amen,
Come Lord Jesus.
Let’s pray and then we are going to close by singing together.
