I WAS CHALLENGED BY THE THEME OF THE BULLETIN AND OUR S.S. LESSON -

GOD’S STRENGTH IN HUMAN WEAKNESS.

OUR S.S. LESSON MEMORY SELECTION APOSTLE PAUL POINTS OUT THAT JESUS CHRIST IS THE ONE WHO GIVES THE POWER -

2 Corinthians 12:9 “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”

WHEN PAUL RECOGNIZED THAT HE HAD WEAKNESS’S - THEN HE WAS ABLE TO SEE THE GRACE - STRENGTH - OF THE LORD IN HIS LIFE -

SO IT IS WITH US THE MORE WE STRIVE TO DO THE WILL OF THE FATHER - THEN WE REALIZE THE EFFORT WE PUT FORTH GOD TAKES AND MULTIPLIES IT INTO SO MUCH MORE FOR THE WORK OF BUILDING THE KINGDOM. - NOT THAT WE SHOULD BOAST OR BE CONCEITED BUT THAT WE RECOGNIZE THAT THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN US - SERVING JESUS CHRIST BRINGS GLORY AND HONOR TO GOD THE FATHER.

NEXT VERSE : V10 LAST PART - PAULS SAYS : for when I am weak, then am I strong.

HAVE WE FELT THIS WAY IN OUR LIFE - WE HAVE DONE WHAT WE CAN BUT WISH WE COULD HELP MORE - - WE DESIRE TO BE DOING MORE -AND QUESTION IF WE HAVE DONE ENOUGH? IF WE FEEL THIS WAY AND ARE LOOKING FOR WAYS FOR GOD TO USE US - THEN I BELIEVE WE ARE IN THE PROPER FRAME OF MIND FOR GOD TO USE US FOR KINGDOM BUILDING.

I WAS CHALLENGED HOW GOD STIRRED THE HEARTS OF THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL IN EXODUS 35: WHERE THE VERSE ON THE FRONT OF OUR BULLETIN -

IN CHAPTER 34 WE HAVE THE ACCOUNT OF MOSES GOING UP THE SECOND TIME TO MOUNT SINAI - WITH THE SECOND SET OF TABLES OF STONE TO RECEIVE INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE LORD. 40 DAYS AND 40 NIGHTS IT SAID MOSES WAS THERE AND WROTE UPON THE TABLES OF STONE THE WORDS OF THE COVENANT.

THEN IN CHAPTER 35 - MOSES GATHERED THE PEOPLE AND TOLD THE PEOPLE THE COMMANDMENTS OF THE LORD AND WHAT WAS NEEDED ACCORDING THE WORD OF THE LORD.

STARTING IN VERSE 21 OF CHAPTER 35 WE HAVE THIS PHRASE REPEATED TELLING ABOUT THE WORK THEY DID - IT SAYS

V21 : every one whose heart stirred him up, and every one whom his spirit made willing.

V22: both men and women, as many as were willing hearted;

V25: And all the women that were wise hearted did spin with their hands;

V26: And all the women whose heart stirred them up in wisdom spun goats' hair.

V29 The children of Israel brought a willing offering unto the LORD, every man and woman, whose heart made them willing to bring for all manner of work, which the LORD had commanded to be made by the hand of Moses.

V31 ON OUR BULLETIN TELLS US HOW GOD BLESS’S THOSE WHOM HE CALLED : And he hath filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship;

GOD BLESSED THOSE WHO HEARTS WERE STIRRED AND ANSWERED THE CALL TO BE USED OF HIM TO DO THE WORK AND BRING THE MATERIALS MOSES TOLD THEM - WHEN THE PEOPLE HAD A HEART TO DO THE WILL OF GOD - THEN GOD BLESSED THEM - HE BLESSED THEM SO MUCH THAT MOSES HAD TO TELL THEM TO STOP - LISTEN HOW ABUNDANTLY THEY GAVE

- CHAPTER 36: VERSES 3-7

Ex 36:3 And they received of Moses all the offering, which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, to make it withal. And they brought yet unto him free offerings every morning.

4 And all the wise men, that wrought all the work of the sanctuary, came every man from his work which they made;

5 And they spake unto Moses, saying, The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work, which the LORD commanded to make.

6 And Moses gave commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, Let neither man nor woman make any more work for the offering of the sanctuary. So the people were restrained from bringing.

7 For the stuff they had was sufficient for all the work to make it, and too much.

WE SERVE THE SAME GOD TODAY - WHEN OUR HEARTS STIR WITHIN US TO HELP - LET US BE LIKE THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL AND BE WILLING HEARTED AS IT SAY THEY WERE - AND I BELIEVE GOD’S DESIRE IS TO BLESS THOSE WHO ANSWER THE CALL -

LAST CHAPTER EXODUS - CHAPTER 39: VERSES 42+43 READ:

Ex 39:42 According to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so the children of Israel made all the work.

43 And Moses did look upon all the work, and, behold, they had done it as the LORD had commanded, even so had they done it: and Moses blessed them.

SO THIS MORNING I WANT YOU TO FIND THAT BLESSING OF THE LORD WHEN WE ARE FOLLOWING THE WILL AND OBEYING THE COMMANDMENTS OF THE LORD. AND I KNOW THAT YOU AS A CONGREGATION ARE DOING WHAT GOD STIRS IN YOUR HEARTS.

THIS MORNING WE HAVE AN ANSWER TO PRAYER AND HARD WORK BY YOU AS A CONGREGATION AND ESPECIALLY THE ONES WHO HAVE COMMITTED TO SPONSORING THE KIM FAMILY. GOD HAS BLESSED YOUR HARD WORK BY BRINGING THEM US.
