Numbers 20:9–12 ESV
9 And Moses took the staff from before the Lord, as he commanded him. 10 Then Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock, and he said to them, “Hear now, you rebels: shall we bring water for you out of this rock?” 11 And Moses lifted up his hand and struck the rock with his staff twice, and water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their livestock. 12 And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not believe in me, to uphold me as holy in the eyes of the people of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land that I have given them.”
We are in a season where you must realize or seek the lord to understand whats holding you back from truly experiencing a true move of God in your life.
A false sense of self- awareness has worked its way into the lives of those who call themselves believers - a Mindset of thinking “I’ve got the enemy figured out”.
AND The reason its tough, your frustrated, ready to throw in the towel - Satan knows he has but a short time. He wants to throw everything possible to shake your faith in GOD.
2 Chronicles 7:14 ESV
14 if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
This is where self awareness thats led by the HOLY GHOST is necessary. In this place you began to understand that Satan wants YOU to abort your assignment.
When you understand that you are a royal priesthood aborting my assignment is nor an option.
NOT AN OPTION!
Understand your kingdom assignment
Exodus 3:10 ESV
10 Come, I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring my people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.”
Divine Call and Assignment
Exodus 3:10 ESV
10 Come, I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring my people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.”
Shortcomings and Challenges
and still shout dance and say preach preacher. The question to be answered is are you aligned with the WILL of God
He wants you to Abort! Isn't it amazing that SATAN has no Power over you.
1 Corinthians 10:13 ESV
13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
but through deceptive techniques he will push you to a point in your flesh will make you think there is NO WAY OUT of this.
in John 8 we find that SATAN is the FATHER of ALL LIES.
God always puts more on us than we can handle.
James 4:6 ESV
6 But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
Sometimes the Lord, in his sovereign purpose, crushes us (Hebrews 12:4-12). He breaks us so that he can remake us. Think of how Jeremiah cried out in Lamentations because God has left his nation, city, and people utterly desolate and decimated. Think of all the psalms in which the psalmists cry out to God for bruising them. Think of our Lord Jesus in whom “it was the LORD’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer” (Isaiah 53:10).
Don’t you throw in the towel.
God is merciful, He is Kind PsalmO
Psalm 100:5 ESV
5 For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.
Just because it endures forever, doesn’t mean i take it for granted.
I. Your desire must be to please God. There is a great drifting away from being like Christ -
We all have convictions…
TEN TOES DOWN; Non - negotiable; I challenge you to self evaluate and ask yourself are they God centered
We have more convictions in earthy affairs that have no meaning and next to none in Gods word.
You cant call yourself a believer, yet your
True conviction, Loves what God Loves and hates what he hates Gods word will cause one to flee from sin.
The issue i see that has crept into the church - We have had false convictions and a faux or artificial love for God.
We have learned HOW TO CHURCH
Satan is afraid when you wake up and truly realize who you are in christ.
David danced but the scripture does not depict - what this danced looked like.
Example: In church and said we love everybody (so good seeds to everybody), but just a few hours later talked about those in the body of christ just hours later at dinner.
Hebrews 12:14 ESV
14 Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.
The first time…..IN EXODUS
Exodus 17:1–6 (ESV)
1 All the congregation of the people of Israel moved on from the wilderness of Sin by stages, according to the commandment of the Lord, and camped at Rephidim, but there was no water for the people to drink.
2 Therefore the people quarreled with Moses and said, “Give us water to drink.” And Moses said to them, “Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you test the Lord?”
3 But the people thirsted there for water, and the people grumbled against Moses and said,Why did you bring us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our livestock with thirst?”
4 So Moses cried to the Lord, “What shall I do with this people? They are almost ready to stone me.”
5 And the Lord said to Moses, “Pass on before the people, taking with you some of the elders of Israel, and take in your hand the staff with which you struck the Nile, and go.
6 Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock at Horeb, and you shall strike the rock, and water shall come out of it, and the people will drink.” And Moses did so, in the sight of the elders of Israel.
This event happened early in the journey after leaving Egypt. The Israelites complained about the lack of water, and God instructed Moses to strike a rock at Horeb, from which water miraculously flowed to quench the people's thirst.
II. The enemy is watching you
If you are going to be victorious, if you are going to live a prosperous life, and fulfill your assignment in the earth. Pleasing God is a MUST - the same
Matthew 17:1–5 ESV
1 And after six days Jesus took with him Peter and James, and John his brother, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. 2 And he was transfigured before them, and his face shone like the sun, and his clothes became white as light. 3 And behold, there appeared to them Moses and Elijah, talking with him. 4 And Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good that we are here. If you wish, I will make three tents here, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah.” 5 He was still speaking when, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him.”
Hebrews 1:3 ESV
3 He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
I. KNOW YOUR SELF AND KNOW YOUR ENEMY
Whether you like it or not Whether you want to accept or not If you believe it or not…
You are in a spiritual Struggle or Fight - if you will.
John 16:13 ESV
13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.
Colossians 3:15 ESV
15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.
James 5:11–12 ESV
11 Behold, we consider those blessed who remained steadfast. You have heard of the steadfastness of Job, and you have seen the purpose of the Lord, how the Lord is compassionate and merciful. 12 But above all, my brothers, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or by any other oath, but let your “yes” be yes and your “no” be no, so that you may not fall under condemnation.

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Proverbs 3:34 ESV
34 Toward the scorners he is scornful, but to the humble he gives favor.
to stress the importance of humility in the Christian community.
Peter asserts that God desires for Christians in the Roman Empire—including himself and the churches to which he writes—to consider their suffering as a means of becoming more like Christ. They suffer according to God’s will by suffering as Jesus would.
At the time Peter wrote, the churches in Asia Minor were likely just beginning to experience localized persecution. Peter portrays the trials as beneficial (though unpleasant) by indicating that they are God’s will

Matthew 4:1–4 ESV
1 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 And after fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3 And the tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread.” 4 But he answered, “It is written, “ ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ ”
Jesus is Hungry.
Human beings cannot live on bread alone, but need every word God speaks

The phrase “full armor of God” comes from Ephesians 6:13–17: “Therefore put on the full armor of God, so thawhen the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”

Ephesians 6:12 clearly indicates that the conflict with Satan is spiritual, and therefore no tangible weapons can be effectively employed against him and his minions. We are not given a list of specific tactics Satan will use. However, the passage is quite clear that when we follow all the instructions faithfully, we will be able to stand, and we will have victory regardless of Satan’s strategy.

III.

The first element of our armor is truth (verse 14). This is easy to understand, since Satan is said to be the “father of lies” (John 8:44). Deception is high on the list of things God considers to be an abomination.

A “lying tongue” is one of the things He describes as “detestable to Him” (Proverbs 6:16–17). We are therefore exhorted to put on truth for our own sanctification and deliverance, as well as for the benefit of those to whom we witness.

Also in verse 14, we are told to put on the breastplate of righteousness. A breastplate shielded a warrior’s vital organs from blows that would otherwise be fatal. This righteousness is not works of righteousness done by men. Rather, this is the righteousness of Christ, imputed by God and received by faith, which guards our hearts against the accusations and charges of Satan and secures our innermost being from his attacks.

Verse 15 speaks of the preparation of the feet for spiritual conflict. In warfare, sometimes an enemy places dangerous obstacles in the path of advancing soldiers. The idea of the preparation of the gospel of peace as footwear suggests what we need to advance into Satan’s territory, aware that there will be traps, with the message of grace so essential to winning souls to Christ. Satan has many obstacles placed in the path to halt the propagation of the gospel.

The shield of faith spoken of in verse 16 makes Satan’s sowing of doubt about the faithfulness of God and His Word ineffective. Our faith—of which Christ is “the author and perfecter” (Hebrews 12:2)” is like a golden shield, precious, solid, and substantial.

The helmet of salvation in verse 17 is protection for the head, keeping viable a critical part of the body. We could say that our way of thinking needs preservation. The head is the seat of the mind, which, when it has laid hold of the sure gospel hope of eternal life, will not receive false doctrine or give way to Satan’s temptations. The unsaved person has no hope of warding off the blows of false doctrine because he is without the helmet of salvation and his mind is incapable of discerning between spiritual truth and spiritual deception.

Verse 17 interprets itself as to the meaning of the sword of the Spirit—it is the Word of God. While all the other pieces of spiritual armor are defensive in nature, the sword of the Spirit is the only offensive weapon in the armor of God. It speaks of the holiness and power of the Word of God. A greater spiritual weapon is not conceivable. In Jesus’ temptations in the desert, the Word of God was always His overpowering response to Satan. What a blessing that the same Word is available to us!

In verse 18, we are told to pray in the Spirit (that is, with the mind of Christ, with His heart and His priorities) in addition to wearing the full armor of God. We cannot neglect prayer, as it is the means by which we draw spiritual strength from God. Without prayer, without reliance upon God, our efforts at spiritual warfare are empty and futile. The full armor of God—truth, righteousness, the gospel, faith, salvation, the Word of God, and prayer—are the tools God has given us, through which we can be spiritually victorious, overcoming Satan’s attacks and temptations.
