When Israel was at the height of their glory and standing proud in their power, God sends Amos to give them a reality check. According to God's perspective, they were not plumb to His inspection. Amos' message to Israel is for us today as well, not only to make sure our foundation is set correctly, but that our hearts are set on God's Truth alone.
