Today we finish up Acts 10 and we see the Holy Spirit fall on to the gentiles just as it did on the Jews at the day of Pentecost.

Spiritual Power (vv 44-46a)

As Peter was preaching the Holy fell on these people in the same way that it fell on the Jews at the day of pentecost.
The Spirits response to Salvation is immediate.
Saving faith results in the indwelling of of the Holy Spirit.

13 For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit.
You can tell the difference between a believer and a nonbeliever its the Spirit that dwells inside them.

Symbolic Confession (vv 46b-48a)

Baptism follows salvation.
Baptism is not salvation.
It is an outward sign of an inward relationship.
Much like a wedding ring.
The ring does not make you married, but is an outward symbol of the vows we make in our heart.

Sweet Fellowship (vv 10:48)

The Jews from Jerusalem now no longer strangers but bothers to the new believers from another race were asked to stay here in this foreign land and fellowship with these new converts.
The desire they had to learn and to fellowship with these men was an expression of their new faith.
