Wisdom in Judging Others | Matthew 7:1-6 | Pastor Jose Brevil
Please. You should have some pencils in the back seat pocket as well if you'd like to take notes and so this morning will be in chapter 7 of Matthew. So this morning I want to talk to you about wisdom in judging others, probably one of the most common Bible verse unbelievers know. And that they like to repeat the others is. Matthew. 7 chapter 1 it goes like this judge not So you would not be a judge to keep you advised to say, hey this is my business. Don't get in that case, I'll look this morning and see is that what the verse really is saying? So we're going to look at it in context this morning as we look at how we need to judge one another as brothers and sisters. Because remember, we are here in the Book of Matthew and you saw Jesus constantly, he was talking about the Pharisees and the Sadducees and Jesus calls us to a higher standard and Matthew 5:20, it says, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and the Pharisees, It's like you have no place in the Kingdom, really? You are no better than them. So wisdom in judging others. Do we need to use the cermet when it comes to judging are there? So, let's read the text and then we're going to look at some lessons this morning about using wisdom in judging others verse 1, says judge, not lest you be not judged for with the Judgment you pronounce. You will be judge and weave. The measure you use, it will be measured to you. Why do you see the spec that is, in your brother's eye. But do not notice the log that is in your eye, or how can you say to your brother? Let me take the speck out of your eye. When there is the log in your eye. I you hypocrite first, take the log out of your own eye and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's. I do not give dogs. What is Holy and do not throw your pearls before. Pigs lest? They trample them under food? And turn to attack you. Wow, strong verse father, may you teach our hearts this morning, help us to learn what we should learn in this text and then you're worried not return void. In Jesus name, we pray, amen, amen. There was a man who was on an airport and he had some snack and there was a lady also, who came and stood by him, she had the exact a snack. She had purchased as he was eating And then he put the snacks in the in between the two of them. And then he and I think put it there before while he didn't touch it and then she started wanting a way I can just turn around. So you to snag that she approaches and she started to help herself in the snack and eating and then the guy turned around, he also took one and he smiled at her. And then in the inside, she was getting curious, how dare him touch my snack, and he kept helping himself and turning around and she, you know, really, why are they? So she did stuff. So, she kept eating, but every time she took one, then the guy went on and also took one and they helped himself. And then finally, there was only one left and the guy went on it and split it in half. He took a piece What you do for the other piece and then she didn't want to be rude though. She took it and then but on the inside she's Furious. What was this guy? Might snag and he just kept eating it and then they call for the guys flied. The guy went on and he smile at her and wave and he left and he went to his airplane and then until later on she needed something in her purse. You went into her purse and I should look in her purse. There you go. This her snack and has not been open yet. Diffee. She was judging him and she was passing judgment on him that he was. That hard are him eating her snack, but hers was all along in her bag and it was her actually eating the men snack. And the men was just a very generous and kind men. The thing that we do often we like to judge people in pass judgment on people while actually, we might be the offending party or are we passing judgment on people? We don't treat ourselves to the same judgment. So Hear Jesus here in this tax is calling us to be careful to use wisdom when we judge others. So it's so really the message in one sentence is we are called to be Discerning, not judgmental, we are called to be discerning. Not judgemental. Here are three lessons I want to share with you this morning when it comes to judging others. So before you judge before you judge, remember the law of reciprocity remember the law of reciprocity. If you look at the text here, what is it? Say it says judge. Not that ye be not judged. And look at verse 24. We've been judgmental. You pronounce. You will be judge and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. To remember the next time you going to church somebody, you better use some Grace because God is saying when you go ahead and judge a fellow brother or sister, if you are mean-spirited,
Guess what's going to happen to you? When it's your time because none of us are perfect, right? All of us. At some point, we do not need somebody in our life to help us in what we might be doing wrong. The really would use. This is telling us judge not that ye be not judged. Jesus is saying be careful for with the Judgment. You pronounce on others, the same judgment, you are going to face as well. See what is Jesus really saying judge here. Hope we looking at it, the way that we think about it is that it's it's harsh. Its destructive criticism. If they don't like we have the final say so it's like we're in a courtroom was the judge that you're going to jail. Guess what? You are going to jail here in the same judge. Not lest you be judged. Don't have the final judgment on people don't be harsh. Don't be destructive in your criticism. Don't think you had the final say. So God is the ultimate judge. God has the final say so, so here we are called. You look at judgment Versus this permit. That doesn't mean that you will never make a judgment call because we make judgment calls everyday. Right? You decided what you are going to eat. You decide what you were going to wear all those or judgment call that you are making on yourself. So about this, the next time, there's something that you would like to raise your eyeball on that. You like to talk to someone about. What is your motivation for passing? The judgment? Is it just to be critical? Or is it to be helpful? Are you trying to help that person to grow old? Are you really concerned about them? Or is it just about you? You just want to tell them what you want to tell them, so that you can feel better about yourself, so that you can feel Superior to them. Is that why you want to pass that judgment? See judgment tells them. You know when we sell focus on judging others, it can lead to fault-finding. It sound like we just going around and sniffing around. What are they doing wrong? Let me find what they doing wrong. I got it says that I didn't call you to be a fault finder. But got 28 how cold you to be Discerning? Yes, I want you to be wise. Yes, don't get into everything and brothers and sisters. When they mess up, somebody got to correct them. God calls us to correcting one another. As we will see, as we go for the text. But here, be careful, but you are not the type of person that is just going around and trying to find fault in people. Because if you want to find fault in people, guess what you will find it? Because no body is perfect. Through here. When Jesus says judge, not lest you be not judge, nothing not to pass down, Amy Judgment at all, but it's saying just be careful. Because look at Luke 6:37, 238 judge, not and you will not be judge, see condemnation, condemnation that and you will not be condemned forgive and you will be forgiven. He have an attitude to know that when somebody is messing up, but it could be you When you have such attitude, when you go out and reprove Somebody went to correct somebody, then it will be done with the right attitude. Look at verse 32 give and it will be given to you good measure, pressed down shaken together. Running over will be put into your lap and I'll look at the last part, you ready? For we've got the measure, you use, it will be measured back to you see, when you judge people harshly, you are, you just tearing them down, you have a very critical spirit, guess what? That's the same measure. That will be used when you are being judge. So, be careful, remember the law of reciprocity. So as you judge people, think about yourself when you will need correction as well as you go ahead and correct, a fellow brother. Romans 14, verse 124 says, eyes for the one who is weak in faith. Welcome him. But not to quarrel over what opinions is the thing. A lot of the things that we try to judge each other about has nothing to do with God. It's about our opinions about what I think. So, make sure you when we are judging, it's not worth fighting over her opinion over preferences. See one person believes he may eat anything. While the weak person eats only vegetable, let not the one who eats despise the one with fangs and let not the one works. Then passed judgment on the one who told God has So what are you a vegetarian? Or you a meat lover? God says, do not type judgement on each other. Enjoy your meat and enjoy your salad or like one of my friend like to say, Enjoy your grass. It's not a surprise judgement God has received the one who eats meat and God has received one will only choose to eat vegetable as just one example here, we seeing the text, I did a voice for it says who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another it is before he's on master that he stand or fall and he will be up here for the Lord is able to make him stand. For at the end of the day, God has the final say. So not us back to people telling people owe you going to hell. Business. You are not God. Only God knows what's going through hell or not. Your job is to share the gospel with him. Your job is to be loving, is to be helpful. Yes, you can give them a warning, the way you go. And I'm really scared about the way that you're going, really hope that you would turn around and do, right, because just what the Bible says, in Hughes what you doing, and they do not line up. The telling them that you're going to hell. Who are you? Are you gone?
We do not have such why God calls us to go and make disciples, God calls us to go and the salt and lie. God calls us to go and love. People, does that mean that we don't call them out of their saying? Yes, we call them out, but it's the way that we do it in Ephesians four fifteen it says you speak the truth in love.
That's how you reprove a brother, you reprove a brother-in-law. That's the way of Christ, not condemning one, another look at 1st Corinthians 4, verse 4 and 5 says, for metalware. That's Paul speaking of anything against myself, but I am not there by acquitted. It is the Lord who judges me, therefore do not pronounce judgment before the time before the Lord will bring to light the things. Now he been in darkness and will disclose the purposes of the heart than each one will receive his two men Nation from God. God is the ultimate judge, not you and not me. Yes, if I see somebody going the wrong way, I'm going to reprove them but it's going to be in the spirit of humility. It's going to be in a spirit of love because I care not because I want to show that I am holier-than-thou. Romans 2 verse 1 says therefore you have no excuse. Oh man every one of you would judges full in passing judgment on another. You do what? Condemn yourself because you the judge practice the very same thing. So, be careful, James 31, not many of you should become teachers my brother's for, you know, that we will teach will be judged with greater strictness. That's why you know teachers up to be careful as you are reproving, you correct. And make sure that you are living what you are teaching because the Bible calls teachers in the Bible in and then in an inference in Titus, 1st Timothy and 2nd Timothy to live a life that is above reproach. So what I'm calling you to do, I need to also live it out so that I can say like Paul follow me as I follower of Christ. So God is calling teachers to a higher standard and not just teachers. If any of you whenever you're talking to somebody, you teaching them more than one. You may not stand in front here, just like me. But God is saying, ASU reproving one, another makes you that you are living it out. The bottom line is, don't be a fault finder, but God is saying, be Discerning. Don't judge. Lest you be judged a measure that you used to judge the same will be judged against you. To God is saying, don't be a fault finder bird be Discerning, don't tear down. People don't condemn people that reprove people with a spirit of Love s s that only we need to remember the law of reciprocity before we judge others. But also before we judge others, Don't be a hypocrite. Remember to examine and Gorge yourself? First, remember to examine and judge yourself first, don't be a hypocrite. We all know what Hypocrites, all right, thank you. So no need to come in to 503. Where does it say, why do you see the spec? That's a little tiny thing? Then that is in your brother's eyes and you do not notice the long way, longer than that Bible, that is in your own. I say, what the Bible is saying. Even though log is in your eye, how can you see the little speck? That is in somebody else's eye because you are blind yourself.
Why do you see the spec that is in your brother's eye but do not notice the Lord that is in your own. I expect it just like a little grain of salt. See a large bug, see a lot of people that you have way more power than you instead of focusing on yourself but you still focus on others. That's it was for or can you say to your brother? Let me take the speck out of your eye. When there is the log in your own eye. Sade with me, you Yolanda convinced it again or you.
Nobody wants to say it. Let's try again or you hypocrite. first or go to log out of your own eye, so you can see clearly out of somebody else's, I To hear you see what? It says judge. Not lest you be judged as it does. That mean not to judge at all. What is Jesus calling us to do here? Thank you. We just need to see clearly before we can judge others. So God wants us as we judging others, we have to make sure that we see clearly, if you wear glasses with your glasses on before you pass judgment on a, when you judge Make sure that you are not being a hypocrite. Look within first before you look out in judging others, look at second joint in 13-5. It says what really brings me examine yourself to see whether you are in the faith test yourselves or do you not realize this about yourself? That Jesus Christ is in you, unless you indeed fail to meet the test, Family crisis asking us. It's not a matter of not judge and yes, we have to judge one another and you see there. As you look at the text, he's using the word brother. Did you see you at do? I need to go back to think that would brother. That means it's talking about its fellow Believers. He's not calling you to go to judge people outside people who are not Believers. He's calling us to judge one. Another fellow Believers because you said you would need to examine ourselves. Make sure that we are walking with God before we pass judgment on others 1st. Peter 2:12 says, keep your conduct among the Gentiles unknowable so that when they speak against you as evil the worst they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation. Be a good example in your neighborhood. Be a good example at work. Good example at school, be a good example in your own home. God is calling us to keep a conduct that is worthy of the Gospel. John 8:7, says, and eyes. They continue to ask him. He stood up and said to them, let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone. See, there was a woman who was caught in adultery and they brought her before Jesus, and then they wanted Jesus to condemn her to throw a stone at her. The next time I check, it takes two to commit adultery. But they only brought the woman in front of Jesus, and Jesus didn't pay any attention to them. Jesus was just only writing on the sand. Maybe Jesus was just writing their names gems. Remember January 6th. That's in you did, maybe you were saying Peter. Remember, March 17th. What you did. And then one by one, they kept leaving. They left. Until she was the only one staying there with Jesus. And that's when Jesus told her go and sin. No more. No, it is not an excuse for us to keep sending. Cuz he's a stole that woman to go and sin no more. Yes, correction is to be done with Grace but we need to accept it also and live for God, Romans 14, 10 to 12 days. Why do you pass judgment on your brother or you? Why do you despise your brother for? We will call stand before the Judgment seat of God for it is written. As I read, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess before God. So then each of us will give what an account of himself to who . God is the ultimate judge. We have to answer to who To God. So that's why when we judge somebody, we have to do it with this discernment with love in the spirit of Correction, in their Spirit of help in the spirit of love to see them do better. But never, to condemn, we do not have the power to condemn. God is the one who condemns the as Christians. We are required to judge one another. Let me show you a message in 1st Corinthians 5, you ready. It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you and of a kind that is not tolerated. Even among pagans for a man, has his father's wife's a year. The year? Yeah, you can say you can just not just ain't meant to yeah, yeah, that's bad. You are arrogant. But you not rather. Let him who has done this. Be what removes among you is that judgment. Four-door absent in the body. I am president Spirit as an as if present, I have already pronounce judgment on the one who did such a thing when you are a symbol in the name of the Lord. Jesus. And my spirit is present with the power of our Lord Jesus. You are to deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of the flesh. So that his Spirit may be saving the day of the Lord Jesus. As Believers we judge one another. But what's the purpose there? To save the song because somebody is cutting up. Somebody is messing up. Somebody's messing their testimony. That is not a way to live. That's when the real Hebrews act worse than the world. You see this man here Paul says hey you need to judge and cast them out of the fellowship so that they can come to their senses. But you see this is not final judgment that God will. That's just a temporary judgment for that. He will come to his senses and come back and do right with me the continued verse 6. Your boasting is not good, do you not know that? A little leaven leavens the whole. Oh, you see why you have to treat sending the church? Because when one person is doing it, it is not address. Somebody else is doing somebody else is doing, and you just have a sinful Church. Yes, we are all sinners saved by grace, but there is a spender that God calls us to live. God calls, each one of us to live worthy of the gospel of Christ. That's why he says, clean out, the old leaven that you may be a new law as you really are on 11 for Christ. Our Passover Lamb has been sacrificed, let us therefore celebrate the festival, not with the old, leaven the leaven of my lease and evil that with the unleavened bread of sincerity and Truth. Tell me the living out, God's word. I wrote to you in my letter, not to associate, with sexually, immoral people. Are you passing judgment?
Not at all, meaning the sexually immoral of the world or the greedy.
Same thing, we have a tendency to put once in above the other K greedy and swindlers idolaters since then you would need to go out of the world. But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who Bears what the name of what brother or sister see here, this is not about the world are the world will do that stuff. But when somebody calls themselves and say that I am a brother, if he's guilty of sexual immorality or greed or even a dollar to a reviler drunkard, a swindler not even to eat with such a one for What hap? What But what have I to do with judging Outsiders? It is not those inside, is it not those inside? The church room, you are to judge. God judges those outside Purge. The evil person from among you in Peter. It says that judgment will start. We're in the house of God. I was at Hebrews, one of them that but it says judgment will start in the house of God. We need to judge one. Another, we need to recruit one another, we need to correct one another. But it is what so that we would walk closer with God. So that we would walk worthy of the Gospel never condemning, but always to save That makes sense and that's what God calls us to do. Look at it. Look 18 verse 9 to 14. He also told this Parable to somewhat rested in themselves that they were righteous and treated others with content. That's the problem in our judgment will look at people we treat them with contempt. That's why we have to check our hearts when we judge. Are we doing it out of content? Or are we doing it out of love? How we doing it? Because we can Are we doing it? Because we would like to see them walking more worthy of the Gospel or is it just because of me? I can stand them. Look at their two men went up into the temple to pray one of a Pharisee that means the standard for living really at the time and the other tax collector the Pharisee spending by himself trade this car to take you that I am nuts like other men. Extortioners on Josh dollar stores or even like this tax collector. Why is the week? I give dies of all that I get
Look at the tax collectors attitude and that's what God is looking for us is good. The tax collector spending would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but did his breath saying God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you this man went down to his house Justified rather than the other for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled but the one who humbles himself will be exalted, judge self first before we judge others. Look at some 51 verse 10 to 13 after David at sin with Bathsheba. David says, create in me a clean heart. O, God, renew a right Spirit Within Me. Ask me that away from your presence and take. Not your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Salvation. And uphold me with a willing spirit, is he a True Believer? Cannot be in sin and be happy.
Christian was living in sin is a miserable Christian. And if you living in, send, you don't feel anything, you enjoying the sin, examine yourself to see, whether you are in the faith, test yourselves to see that if whether you have passed the test. So they read says, restore to me the joy of your salvation. And uphold me with a willing Spirit energy, look here, look here was thirteen. Then David says, then I will teach transgression Sinners your ways and sinners will return to you. You see David went on and judge himself first, David went on and get right with God and then David says, now Lord, I want to be qualified to judge others with wisdom. So God is calling us a check self first and go ahead and you go ahead and examine the additive God wants us to have in Galatians. It says Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, You Are Spiritual. That means you qualify you walking worthy of the Gospel should restore him in a What Spirit of gentleness did you say that? Did you see that? Same with me, restore them with a spirit of Jen Nest. Say it again, restarted with the spirit of gentleness Cheap watch on your self less, you to be tempted. Bear one another's burdens. And so fulfill the law of Christ. You will not be walking with Christ. If you do not judge your brother, if you do not correct, your brother that shows you don't care, you not bearing. Each other's burden. So God calls us to correct one. Another God called us to help one. Another God calls us to be there for one another, but we have to do it with the right motivation. We have to do it with the ride heart. We have to do it with a Caring Heart, not in a holier-than-thou attitude. Amen. I have more than that done now. Okay? So make sure you are qualified to judge and judge, rightly don't think a hip holier-than-thou approach but have a teachable spirit, don't be judgmental, but do not be blind to others faults either. Remember we have to bear each other's burden and we need to restore each other with a spirit of gentleness. That's what God calls us to. And that's what we need to do to really God is telling us don't use a measure that you use for others that you do not use for yourself. Sometimes we have a way of judging others more harshly than we do our self. Sometimes, we'll look at people will look down on them while we are doing the same thing. But God is saying, hey, same measuring stick that you use for others, make sure that it is the same for you to really the bottom line for second point, is that be constructive and that helps that you give to others that need correction. Not trying to tear someone or condemning them. God calls us to be a brother or a sister. Then, Lastly, lastly, we need to judge with right judgment. So, before we judge, make sure you remember the law of reciprocity before we judge may we not be a hypocrite and remember to examine and judge ourselves first. And then, lastly, God calls us to judge with right judgment. Here, it feels like it's out of place. Do not give dogs. What is Holy and do not throw your pearls before. Pigs lest. They trample them underfoot and turn to attack you. Dogs in the Bible. Was referring here is wild, dog. Not your pet at home.
Those girls were so wild that they would eat anything that comes their way. It's out of the garbage. And actually, if you look in the Old Testament, somebody solving was Jezebel and they said the dogs ate, the Flesh of people who saw some wild dogs year that they were referring to. And during that died, the Jewish people would refer to Gentiles as dogs as well. Play When Jesus say do not give to dogs. What is Holy? Is that You need to be careful as you share the gospel with other people. As you share the gospel with others, there are some people will just trampling on their food. So I got two calls us to judge one another here. It's a reference to the gospel here as we go out and we sharing the gospel with others more, Jesus said the disciples out to share the gospel and then we told them, if they open to you, you open the door. But if they do not open to you, what do you do? Shake the Dust of your feet. You cannot force. The gospel down, people's throats. Take God by the power of the holy spirit, will bring it to them and it says, do not throw your pearls before pigs. You know, pigs. Doesn't matter how clean they are but whenever they get a chance, where are they going to go? They going right back to the mud there. Really gotta saying the Pearl. But we have the Bible, the word of God. It is something serious. It is something to be treasured. Do not let other people trampling underfoot. I know sometimes we have the the the right hard. We tried to reach out to people. There is some people would just reject the gospel at all costs and they do not care about what you have to say. Got to death. Sometimes you just need to step back. And it is the same here just using gear in the context of judging here. Look at 2nd Peter 2:22 to what the true proverb says, has happened to them the dog returns to its own. Vomit in the show after washing herself returns to wallow in the mire.
Look up, Proverbs 9:8, do not reprove us cover, or he will hate you reprove a wise, man, and he will love you too. That's why Jesus is trying to tell us. Be Discerning be Discerning, you know, as you reach out to people, there are some people, you reprove them. They will love you, they will be thankful. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. That there are some they just like scuffers when you bring something to the attention. Now they start to attach you, they hate you. You see what it says? They're in the verse. It says, unless they trampled, underfoot and turn to attack you. There are some people you try to reprove. You would have been better just staying quiet. Because they are not going to listen to what you have to say. And look at Matthew 13, 45 46. Cuz it again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant in search of fine Pearls at the gospel on finding one, pearl of Great Value when it. So all is that he had and brothers, the gospel is precious. Don't let people trampling underfoot 2nd Corinthians 4:7 but we have the treasures in Jars of Clay to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and that to us Philippians 1 9 to 10. Says, and it is my prayer that you will love me about and more and more with what knowledge and what all tournament all discernment. So that you may approve. What is excellent? And so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ's so God is telling us to use discernment As we judge others. Use discernment and we have to do it the way of love but we do have one problem. Today, we do have one problem today. Too many of us are not working worthy of the gospel and as a result, a lot of us I just running around. While there are people that needs correction and there's no people qualify to correct them. We need to walk worthy of the Gospel so that God can use us. We have seen the flip side and some places where people go on and everybody's living in sin in the nobody saying anything because everybody is doing the same thing. Then God is saying hey that's the kind of church that kind of Brothers. You do fellowship with that's not a fellowship and that is not a church either if it is pregnant with sin but God is saying 8, I need you to walk worthy of the gospel singer that you can see clearly to take that stuck out of your eye that load out of your eyes so that you can reprove one another. And the way you do this is with the way of love in 1st Corinthians 13. Verse 1 to 6, as if I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love. I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbals. And if I have my prophetic powers and understand all Mysteries, and all knowledge and if I have all Faith, so as to remove mountains, good have Not love. I am nothing. You will see a lot of churches call. We got power. We doing this. We got it was a love. What is love? Where is the love? My saying I am laughing if I give away all I have and if I deliver up my body to be burned but have not love again. What nothing. Nothing love is what patient? That means when we judge others we need to be patient with them. Love is kind. That means when we judge others we need to do. So kindly write love does not envy or boast the do it with hatred. It is not, I'm not better than you. I'm only telling you this. I'm just one beggar trying to help another bigger get bread. Okay, it says it's not arrogant or rude. The way you said it does not insist on its own way. It is not irritable or resentful. It does not rejoice that run doing but rejoices with what the troops are. When we judging we judge according to the word of God, we do it with chu and love the bottom line is that does not want our judgment to be critical, but charitable meaning loving and in the nutshell the message is simply this. God is not calling us to turn a blind eye to others. Miss behaviors within or false like we did not notice them but God calls us to discern between truth and error. Good and evil, God calls us to judge how rightly a man. Amen. So next time you have to judge remember these next time, you have to judge a fellow brother. Would we judge a fellow brother or sister? Anybody else? What we do is share the gospel with them. Next time you have to judge, remember this fellow brothers were judged each other, but people outside. We do not judge them, we share the gospel with them. When they become believers, they part of our community, and now we can judge didn't correct him. Help them to walk worthy of the Gospel. To next time, you have to judge. Remember this? Remember Galatians 6:10 before you judge be humble? Being humble member, it says to do it in the spirit of gentleness, still be humble. Remember, Jesus were to him who is without sin cast the first stone? You need forgiveness to be hesitant. Make sure that what you were about to say is legitimate, be hesitant make sure what you're about to say is legitimate and be gentle. Be gentle be gentle be gentle. Be gentle with make sure it lines up with God's word. Make sure it lines up with God's word and remember your goal is to restore. So be restorative. So as you go it's to restore Toca to restore because here's the thing.
