10 Then Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock, and he said to them, “Hear now, you rebels: shall we bring water for you out of this rock?”

12 And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not believe in me, to uphold me as holy in the eyes of the people of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land that I have given them.”
Introduction:
Being sprit led is the key to success in your life. The enemy comes to destroy LIFE.

We are in a season where you must realize or seek the lord to understand whats holding you back from truly experiencing a true move of God in your life.
A false sense of self- awareness has worked its way into the lives of those who call themselves believers - a Mindset of thinking “I’ve got the enemy figured out”.
When you’ve been called and Chosen by God, when favor rest of your life, you have no CHOOSE but to submit to the will of GOD. Jonah is was a prophet who rebels against God and flees from God's command
God has a unique way of bringing you into his devine plan
In fact, you are already in his plan. However, he is unfolding new aspects of his plan daily
1 O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
2 So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary, beholding your power and glory.
3 Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you.
4 So I will bless you as long as I live; in your name I will lift up my hands.
5 My soul will be satisfied as with fat and rich food, and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips,
As David is in a dry and weary land with no provision, he chooses to seek the lord.
David is able to see God’s provision in a dead situation. Even though he does not have it yet. His soul will be satisfied.
Thank God for where he’s taking you - even if the road there is dry and weary.

14 yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.
The enemy will attack you with everything he has - He is truly after your influence
Its the Same David, who has taken another mans wife, in an attempt to hide, Killed the man. Yet God still said he was a man after his own heart.
When confronted by the prophet Nathan, David acknowledged his sin and repented sincerely
His repentance demonstrated genuine remorse and a desire to turn back to God.
True Repentance will restore you.
1 Have mercy on me, O God, according to your steadfast love; according to your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin!
14 Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, O God of my salvation, and my tongue will sing aloud of your righteousness.
When restored, the psalmist pledges to teach other sinners about God’s restorative forgiveness. Because of this, they will also turn to God.
The transgression was grievous, however, Lord forgive me and allow me to use what I went through to help someone else.
15 O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your praise.
What happened….happened… If you opened your mouth repent, praise God…the lord will Fill it.
28 “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions.
Understand your kingdom assignment

Jeremiah, in laminations - This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have hope.
The first striking of the rock - Mount Sinai
Give us Water…
Why did you bring us here?
1 All the congregation of the people of Israel moved on from the wilderness of Sin by stages, according to the commandment of the Lord, and camped at Rephidim, but there was no water for the people to drink.
2 Therefore the people quarreled with Moses and said, “Give us water to drink.” And Moses said to them, “Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you test the Lord?”
3 But the people thirsted there for water, and the people grumbled against Moses and said, “Why did you bring us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our livestock with thirst?”
4 So Moses cried to the Lord, “What shall I do with this people? They are almost ready to stone me.”
5 And the Lord said to Moses, “Pass on before the people, taking with you some of the elders of Israel, and take in your hand the staff with which you struck the Nile, and go.
6 Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock at Horeb, and you shall strike the rock, and water shall come out of it, and the people will drink.” And Moses did so, in the sight of the elders of Israel.
7 And he called the name of the place Massah and Meribah, because of the quarreling of the people of Israel, and because they tested the Lord by saying, “Is the Lord among us or not?”
Before Moses strikes the rock at
The first striking of the rock (Exodus 17:1-7
Mount Sinai
The second striking of the rock (Numbers 20:1-13) took place at Kadesh in the Wilderness of Zin.
1 And the people of Israel, the whole congregation, came into the wilderness of Zin in the first month, and the people stayed in Kadesh. And Miriam died there and was buried there.
2 Now there was no water for the congregation. And they assembled themselves together against Moses and against Aaron.
3 And the people quarreled with Moses and said, “Would that we had perished when our brothers perished before the Lord!
4 Why have you brought the assembly of the Lord into this wilderness, that we should die here, both we and our cattle?
5 And why have you made us come up out of Egypt to bring us to this evil place? It is no place for grain or figs or vines or pomegranates, and there is no water to drink.”
6 Then Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly to the entrance of the tent of meeting and fell on their faces. And the glory of the Lord appeared to them,
7 and the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
8 “Take the staff, and assemble the congregation, you and Aaron your brother, and tell the rock before their eyes to yield its water. So you shall bring water out of the rock for them and give drink to the congregation and their cattle.”
9 And Moses took the staff from before the Lord, as he commanded him.
10 Then Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock, and he said to them, “Hear now, you rebels: shall we bring water for you out of this rock?”
11 And Moses lifted up his hand and struck the rock with his staff twice, and water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their livestock.
12 And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not believe in me, to uphold me as holy in the eyes of the people of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land that I have given them.”
13 These are the waters of Meribah, where the people of Israel quarreled with the Lord, and through them he showed himself holy.
14 if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
1 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
2 And after fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry.
3 And the tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread.”
4 But he answered, “It is written, “ ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ ”
8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.
14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
15 and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace.
16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one;
17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God,
Therefore put on the full armor of God, so thawhen the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
Therefore put on the full armor of God, so thawhen the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
