Covenant

7.1. The distance between God and the creature is so great, that although reasonable creatures do owe obedience unto Him as their Creator, yet they could never have any fruition of Him as their blessedness and reward, but by some voluntary condescension on God’s part, which He has been pleased to express by way of covenant
Baby Born and Abandoned - Evil
7.2 The first covenant made with man was a covenant of works,2 wherein life was promised to Adam; and in him to his posterity,3 upon condition of perfect and personal obedience.

Blessings and Curses

The Covenant contains Blessing and Curses
On the day you eat you shall surely die -
The Tree of life shows the blessing -
The blessing Adam did not have is eternal state of not being able to sin - (probation)
Adam sinned and fell under the curse of the Covenant
On the Day you eat you shall surely die - the death promised is spoken of elsewhere as the second death
The Surprising thing is that God stayed the execution of that judgment curse

Curse in Adam

Isaiah 57:17–19 ESV
17 Because of the iniquity of his unjust gain I was angry, I struck him; I hid my face and was angry, but he went on backsliding in the way of his own heart. 18 I have seen his ways, but I will heal him; I will lead him and restore comfort to him and his mourners, 19 creating the fruit of the lips. Peace, peace, to the far and to the near,” says the Lord, “and I will heal him.
Isaiah 52:7–10 ESV
7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.” 8 The voice of your watchmen—they lift up their voice; together they sing for joy; for eye to eye they see the return of the Lord to Zion. 9 Break forth together into singing, you waste places of Jerusalem, for the Lord has comforted his people; he has redeemed Jerusalem. 10 The Lord has bared his holy arm before the eyes of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.

Deuteronomy 4:7 ESV
7 For what great nation is there that has a god so near to it as the Lord our God is to us, whenever we call upon him?
Psalm 148:14 ESV
14 He has raised up a horn for his people, praise for all his saints, for the people of Israel who are near to him. Praise the Lord!

For Jew and Gentile

Isaiah 14:1 ESV
1 For the Lord will have compassion on Jacob and will again choose Israel, and will set them in their own land, and sojourners will join them and will attach themselves to the house of Jacob.
Revelation 2:7 ESV
7 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers I will grant to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.’
Genesis 22:1–5 ESV
1 After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, “Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.” 2 He said, “Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.” 3 So Abraham rose early in the morning, saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and his son Isaac. And he cut the wood for the burnt offering and arose and went to the place of which God had told him. 4 On the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes and saw the place from afar. 5 Then Abraham said to his young men, “Stay here with the donkey; I and the boy will go over there and worship and come again to you.”
