How to Make Your Time Count

Colossians 4:5 “Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.”

Introduction: Job 14:1 “Man that is born of a woman Is of few days, and full of trouble.” Hebrews 9:27 “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:”

I. Live in the Wisdom Of God.

A. Source of Wisdom.

i) James 1:5 “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”

B. Strength of Wisdom

i) Matthew 10:16 “Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.”

II. Live out the Word of God.

A. Philippians 2:12 “Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.”

III. Live through the wondrous grace of God.

A. Ephesians 2:8 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:”

B. Philippians 2:5–7 “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:”
