Brothers and sisters in Christ, today we gather to explore the heart of Reliant Ministries—our mission, vision, and goals as a community of believers. As we delve into the scriptures, we are reminded of our divine calling to make disciples of all nations, teaching them to observe the commands of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our mission is clear: to produce Jesus followers of faith that expand God's kingdom, transforming lives and generations through the power of the gospel. Let us open our hearts to the Word of God and commit ourselves to living out this mission with passion and purpose.

Our God-Given Mission

“Producing Jesus followers of faith that expand God’s kingdom.” Matt 28:19-20
Matthew 28:19–20 ESV
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Producing

We submit ourselves to the Holy Spirit as agents of change.
John 15:5 ESV
5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
John 15:8 ESV
8 By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.

We produce Jesus followers of faith through life-on-life transformation.

2 Timothy 2:2 ESV
2 and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.

We teach the commands of Christ through our discipleship path.

Matthew 28:20 ESV
20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Matthew 22:36–40 ESV
36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”

Expanding

Expanding is the multiplication and increase of God’s kingdom and glory.
Matthew 13:31–32 ESV
31 He put another parable before them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field. 32 It is the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown it is larger than all the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.”
Acts 1:8 ESV
8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Our God-Given Vision

“Seeing generations transformed though the power of the gospel.”
Romans 12:1–2 ESV
1 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Generational Transformation

When the gospel is applied to the whole family, the Spirit's power changes the family's course. We seek to teach the entire family the way of Jesus by establishing biblical roles in the home and role models to follow for generations to come.
We will accomplish this vision through relational evangelism and personal discipleship as we share our faith and story with those in our sphere of influence.

Relational Reconciliation

Reliant's core values reflect the heart and DNA of every member as we seek to flesh out the church's mission and vision statement. Every member Is committed to exposing our families and community to the transforming power of the Word of God. As people are reconciled to God, His glory and kingdom are expanded worldwide.
Acts 16:27–30 ESV
27 When the jailer woke and saw that the prison doors were open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself, supposing that the prisoners had escaped. 28 But Paul cried with a loud voice, “Do not harm yourself, for we are all here.” 29 And the jailer called for lights and rushed in, and trembling with fear he fell down before Paul and Silas. 30 Then he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”
Acts 16:31–33 ESV
31 And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.” 32 And they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. 33 And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their wounds; and he was baptized at once, he and all his family.
