Sower - Son of Man
Field - the World
Cosmos
Physical Earth
Entire Kingdom of God
All of God’s Dominion
Parable of a “Mixed Church?”
More than that!
Good Seed - sons of the Kingdom
Tares - sons of the evil one
Theme of Separation
Matthew 10:34 ““Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.”
Reconciliation to the Father, line in the sand on earth - seeking His people
Separation since Adam
“Brood of Vipers” - Seed of the Serpent
To the Serpent:
Genesis 3:15 “And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise him on the heel.””
Divergent lineage through the womb of Eve
The Enemy - The Devil
Sowing tares of his own
Infiltrating the Kingdom - Because the Lord’s servants are asleep / When the Lord’s servants are asleep
Setting up a counterfeit Kingdom
Not to fault the servants, nec. but the nature of the Devil
When Asleep / when guards are down:
Adam - Eve saw that the fruit was good
Noah - Was disgraced in his nakedness
David - committed grievous sin and had Kingdom taken from him
Jonah - whilst he was supposed to be bringing judgment to the Ninevites
Genesis 3:1 “Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Indeed, has God said, ‘You shall not eat from any tree of the garden’?””
1 Peter 5:8 “Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.”
Harvest
Harvest
Matthew 13:28 ““And he said to them, ‘An enemy has done this!’ The slaves said to him, ‘Do you want us, then, to go and gather them up?’”
Jesus answer - No
Judgment Belongs to the Lord - He will repay, in perfect time
But Dave, ^, what about be sober, be vigilant, be alert?
Church vs. the Kingdom / Dominion of the Lord
Church in the Kingdom
Marks of the Church,
Holiness - we represent the Image of God to a lost and drifting world
Service - Serve the needy in glory to the Father
Evangelism - Bring the Word to the lost and straying sheep
Accountability - Display the justice and chastisement of the Lord to restore rightful fellowship
Worship - Express our dedication to the Lord and His bride in covenant relationship
Among others
But there is One Judge - Sits on the throne at the right hand of the Father, now
End of the Age
As the Counterfeit Kingdom grows alongside the Kingdom of God
The Church, if not vigilant, begins to look like the outside
But the Sober Church is justified
Zephaniah 1:2–6 ““I will completely remove all things From the face of the earth,” declares the Lord. “I will remove man and beast; I will remove the birds of the sky And the fish of the sea, And the ruins along with the wicked; And I will cut off man from the face of the earth,” declares the Lord. “So I will stretch out My hand against Judah And against all the inhabitants of Jerusalem. And I will cut off the remnant of Baal from this place, And the names of the idolatrous priests along with the priests. “And those who bow down on the housetops to the host of heaven, And those who bow down and swear to the Lord and yet swear by Milcom, And those who have turned back from following the Lord, And those who have not sought the Lord or inquired of Him.””
Not only Judgment, but Purification!
For the Countereit Kingdom -
Daniel 7:26–27 “‘But the court will sit for judgment, and his dominion will be taken away, annihilated and destroyed forever. ‘Then the sovereignty, the dominion and the greatness of all the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be given to the people of the saints of the Highest One; His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all the dominions will serve and obey Him.’”
Our Lord is expected
For Thine is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory Forever, Amen
He is coming for His readied Bride
For some, when the trumpet calls
burned up like chaff
For us we respond:
Amen, Come Lord Jesus
