Introduction

In 1965, while filming in Los Angeles, CA, Elvis Presley recieved word that one of his classmates from High School, Red West had fallen on hard times. He was in the military and when he got out, he had a hard time finding a job. Elvis gets wind of this and contacts Red and Elvis gives him a job working for him as a body guard.
Elvis didn’t need another body guard but he knew that a guy who was nice tim him in High School needed a job and needed a break and Elvis helped him out
Elvis showed his humility by looking out for Red West.
The trademark of a Christian is humility as we are going to see in Phil 2:5-11
We are continuing our series ‘I Am A Saved, Now What?’ as we look at what a Christian should look like.
Last week, we looked at unity and the way we achieve unity is through humility, and tonight, we are going to look more in depth into humility

Message

5 Adopt the same attitude as that of Christ Jesus,

6 who, existing in the form of God,

did not consider equality with God

as something to be exploited.

7 Instead he emptied himself

by assuming the form of a servant,

taking on the likeness of humanity.

And when he had come as a man,

8 he humbled himself by becoming obedient

to the point of death—

even to death on a cross.

9 For this reason God highly exalted him

and gave him the name

that is above every name,

10 so that at the name of Jesus

every knee will bow—

in heaven and on earth

and under the earth—

11 and every tongue will confess

that Jesus Christ is Lord,

to the glory of God the Father.
