1 cor.3:1-9 -But I, brothers, could not address you as spiritual people, but as people of the flesh, as infants in Christ. 2 I fed you with milk, not solid food, for you were not ready for it. And even now you are not yet ready, 3 for you are still of the flesh. For while there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not of the flesh and behaving only in a human way? 4 For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” are you not being merely human? 5 What then is Apollos? What is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, as the Lord assigned to each. 6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. 7 So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. 8 He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor. 9 For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s field, God’s building.

The first thing that i want to establish is that Jesus is the owner the Church not any man,It is he who died and out his resurrection came forth the church as his bride. Ephesians 5:25–27 “Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.”
Acts 20:28 “Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood.”
Although the Church is for the Lord he has chosen to partner with mortal men for work of His kingdom that is first reconcile sinful men, equip them and present them blameless to the Lord Jesus at his appearing.
This work cannot be done by one person but as many the Lord will call to labor with in his vineyard. And from time to time God has proven that in the scriptures where he begun with moses,Joshua etc. till the fullness of time when the Lord Jesus himself came and afterwards chose men to continue and complete the work he started.
By God grace a number of ministers have come to labor in this Vine Yard in El Paso district include our immediate district Ps and Wife who have served well. Now it has also pleased God for him to bring us to also continue from they left off. Just as it was in the case of Paul and Apollos in the church of Corinth.
Although thier minisries were different they had one goal and that is to build the house of God.Planting is a different from watering which means the tools, mode of operation is different compared to watering.1 Corinthians 12:4–6 “Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone.”
But regardless it is God who makes their work prosper so therefore My family are here to continue the work my predecessor and his family did.
one thing i will like to put accross is that it not a competition but our works complement one another,
Apostle Paul discern within the church a Corinth that they were perceiving the big picture but rather was walking in flesh by taking sides between the Apostles Which was impacting the progress of the church.
Apostle also established the fact that they were nothing and that whatever outward result was as result of the God factor.
therfore I will humbly entreat all of you that just as you wholly supported our father Lawrence in him work that you would do same and even more.
I beleive that what will make him proud is to see that the work is progressing and expanding.
