The Invitation of the Holy Spirit

Isaiah 6:1–8 ESV

In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him stood the seraphim. Each had six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one called to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!” And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke. And I said: “Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts!” Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for.” And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.”

God sends an invitation ot His followers to do the work of that He has called them to do

The Called Is heard in the ministering to God

You wont know the voice of God id you aren’t spending time with God

Isaiah was in the temple - He was ministering to God

Acts 13:2 ESV

While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”

The Spirit Calls, Equips and leads

Acts 13:4 ESV

So, being sent out by the Holy Spirit, they went down to Seleucia, and from there they sailed to Cyprus.

The Spirit leads us in Truth

Acts 13:6 ESV

When they had gone through the whole island as far as Paphos, they came upon a certain magician, a Jewish false prophet named Bar-Jesus.

This man was attempting to compete with Jesus Christ.

Bar- Jesus- “Son of Jesus”

Acts 13:8 ESV

But Elymas the magician (for that is the meaning of his name) opposed them, seeking to turn the proconsul away from the faith.

Paul Tells Him “You are no son of Jesus”

Acts 13:10 ESV

and said, “You son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, full of all deceit and villainy, will you not stop making crooked the straight paths of the Lord?

Paul had authority of the demonic Spirit that was within the false prophet WHY?

1 John 4:4 ESV

Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

HE WAS FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT

WHEN GOD IS IN IT THERE IS ALWAYS JOY!

Romans 14:17 ESV

For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
