Principle: G-d is reaching for you more than you reach for Him.

Isaiah 51:12–16 TLV
“I, I am the One who comforts you. Who are you that you should fear man, who dies, or a son of man, who is given up like grass?” But you forgot Adonai your Maker, who stretched out the heavens and laid the foundations of the earth. Are you in constant dread all day because of the fury of the oppressor as he makes ready to destroy? But where is the fury of the oppressor? Soon one bowed down will be released. He will not die and go to the Pit, nor will his bread be lacking. “For I am Adonai your God, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar—Adonai-Tzva’ot is His Name. I have put My words in your mouth, and covered you with the shadow of My hand—I who set the heavens in place, who laid the foundations of the earth, and say to Zion, ‘You are My people.’ ”

Isaiah 52:4–10 TLV
For thus says Adonai Elohim: “At first My people went down to Egypt to reside there, then the Assyrian oppressed them for nothing. “Now therefore, what do I have here?” —it is a declaration of Adonai— “My people are taken away for nothing? Its rulers wail” —it is Adonai’s declaration— “and My Name is continually blasphemed all day long. Therefore My people will know My Name. Therefore in that day, I am the One who will be saying, ‘Hineni!’ ” How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who announces shalom, who brings good news of happiness, who announces salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!” The voice of your watchmen— they will lift up their voices. Together they are shouting for joy! For they will see eye to eye when Adonai returns to Zion. Break forth in joy, sing together, you ruins of Jerusalem, for Adonai has comforted His people. He has redeemed Jerusalem. Adonai has bared His holy arm before the eyes of all the nations. All the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God.

Now it was after these things that God tested Abraham. He said to him, “Abraham.” “Hineni,” he said.

Exodus 3:1–4 TLV
Now Moses was tending the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian. So he led the flock to the farthest end of the wilderness, coming to the mountain of God, Horeb. Then the angel of Adonai appeared to him in a flame of fire from within a bush. So he looked and saw the bush burning with fire, yet it was not consumed. Moses thought, “I will go now, and see this great sight. Why is the bush not burnt?” When Adonai saw that he turned to look, He called to him out of the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!” So he answered, “Hineni.”

Isaiah 6:8 TLV
Then I heard the voice of Adonai saying: “Whom should I send, and who will go for Us?” So I said, “Hineni. Send me.”

Matthew 11:27–30 TLV
“All things have been handed over to Me by My Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him. Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and ‘you will find rest for your souls.’ For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Luke 15:1–6 TLV
Now all the tax collectors and sinners were drawing near to hear Yeshua. The Pharisees and the Torah scholars began to complain, saying, ‘This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.” So He told this parable to them, saying, “Which man among you, if he has a hundred sheep and loses one of them, will not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness and go after the lost one until he finds it? When he has found it, he puts it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors and says, ‘Rejoice with me, for I’ve found my sheep that was lost!’

Hebrews 10:19–22 TLV
Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have boldness to enter into the Holies by the blood of Yeshua. He inaugurated a new and living way for us through the curtain—that is, His flesh. We also have a Kohen Gadol over God’s household. So let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and body washed with pure water.

Hebrews 4:14–16 TLV
Therefore, since we have a great Kohen Gadol who has passed through the heavens, Yeshua Ben-Elohim, let us hold firmly to our confessed allegiance. For we do not have a kohen gadol who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all the same ways—yet without sin. Therefore let us draw near to the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace for help in time of need.
