Gates & Portals
Gates & Portals
17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
13 “Come to God through the narrow gate, because the wide gate and broad path is the way that leads to destruction—nearly everyone chooses that crowded road!
14 The narrow gate and the difficult way leads to eternal life—so few even find it!”
1 Jesus said to the Pharisees, “Listen to this eternal truth: The person who sneaks over the wall to enter into the sheep pen, rather than coming through the gate, reveals himself as a thief coming to steal.
2 But the true Shepherd walks right up to the gate,
3 and because the gatekeeper knows who he is, he opens the gate to let him in. And the sheep recognize the voice of the true Shepherd, for he calls his own by name and leads them out, for they belong to him.
4 And when he has brought out all his sheep, he walks ahead of them and they will follow him, for they are familiar with his voice.
5 But they will run away from strangers and never follow them because they know it’s the voice of a stranger.”
7 So Jesus went over it again, “I speak to you eternal truth: I am the Gate for the flock.
8 All those who broke in before me are thieves who came to steal, but the sheep never listened to them.
9 I am the Gateway. To enter through me is to experience life, freedom, and satisfaction.
10 A thief has only one thing in mind—he wants to steal, slaughter, and destroy. But I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect—life in its fullness until you overflow!
In the Bible, a portal is a doorway or gateway that represents the idea of moving, transitioning, or coming and going from one place to another. The word "mezuzah" is translated as "doorframe" or "gatepost" and is related to the Hebrew word "to move".
1 If only you were my brother,
one who nursed at my mother’s breasts.
If I saw you on the street,
I would kiss you, and no one would look down on me.
2 I would lead you.
I would bring you into my mother’s house.
(She is the one who was my teacher.)
I would give you some spiced wine to drink,
some juice squeezed from my pomegranates.
3 His left hand is under my head.
His right hand caresses me.
4 Young women of Jerusalem, swear to me
that you will not awaken love
or arouse love before its proper time!
5 Who is this young woman coming from the wilderness
with her arm around her beloved?
Under the apple tree I woke you up.
There your mother went into labor with you.
There she went into labor
and gave birth to you!
6 Wear me as a signet ring on your heart,
as a ring on your hand.
Love is as overpowering as death.
Devotion is as unyielding as the grave.
Love’s flames are flames of fire,
flames that come from the Lord.
7 Raging water cannot extinguish love,
and rivers will never wash it away.
If a man exchanged all his family’s wealth for love,
people would utterly despise him.
8 We have a little sister, and she has no breasts.
What will we do for our sister on the day she becomes engaged?
9 If she is a wall, we will build a silver barrier around her.
If she is a door, we will barricade her with cedar boards.
10 I am a wall, and my breasts are like towers.
So he considers me to be one who has found peace.
11 Solomon had a vineyard at Baal Hamon.
He entrusted that vineyard to caretakers.
Each one was to bring 25 pounds of silver
in exchange for its fruit.
12 My own vineyard is in front of me.
That 25 pounds is yours, Solomon,
and 5 pounds go to those who take care of its fruit.
13 Young woman living in the gardens,
while your friends are listening to your voice,
let me hear.…
14 Come away quickly, my beloved.
Run like a gazelle or a young stag
on the mountains of spices.
Today, I need to bring to your attention, in the Spirit realm we have gates & portals.
Matthew 16:18 “18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
They gate I need you to walk into and abide in is the Sheep Gate:
But first we have to close some doors that you walked in not knowing it was a portal that brought you further away from your purpose.
God tells Abraham: thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies
Jesus Tells Us: Come to God through the narrow gate
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
There Is A Way but few find it
It has a lot to do with the thief’s voice:
1 O YOU poor and silly and thoughtless and unreflecting and senseless Galatians! Who has fascinated or bewitched or cast a spell over you, unto whom—right before your very eyes—Jesus Christ (the Messiah) was openly and graphically set forth and portrayed as crucified?
His job, and he has been very effective in doing is to lead us away from the strait gate to a door of unknown struggles, setbacks, curses & trauma.
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
8 We have a little sister too young to have breasts. What will we do for our sister if someone asks to marry her? 9 If she is a virgin, like a wall, we will protect her with a silver tower. But if she is promiscuous, like a swinging door, we will block her door with a cedar bar.
Some Sister’s were virginity was protected by brothers which scripture compares her to a wall, and promiscuous sister’s are compared to a swinging door.
You can’t go through a Wall , but you can go through a swinging door.
Let’s dig deeper:
When we walk into a door because we are enticed to be sexual involved with someone:
This sexual experience was the portal that shifts to Perversion, Now you have a appetite for bondage, Porn, etc.
Now You need to take pills and alcohol to keep your soul disconnected from your conscience.
Which open’s another door for a portal you wasn’t ready for.
At this point your so far away from hearing Gods voice because the enemy has taking command of your thoughts, opinions and what you consider your reality.
There are two primary errors when it comes to spiritual warfare—over-emphasis and under-emphasis. Some blame every sin, every conflict, and every problem on demons that need to be cast out.
Others completely ignore the spiritual realm and the fact that the Bible tells us our battle is against spiritual powers.
The key to successful spiritual warfare is finding the biblical balance. Jesus sometimes cast demons out of people and sometimes healed people with no mention of the demonic.
The apostle Paul instructs Christians to wage war against the sin in themselves (Romans 6) and to wage war against the evil one (Ephesians 6:10–18).
Ephesians 6:10–12 declares, “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
The New International Version (Chapter 6)
12 For OUR STRUGGLE IS NOT AGAINST FLESH AND BLOOD, BUT AGAINST THE RULERS, AGAINST THE AUTHORITIES,AGAINST THE POWERS OF THIS DARK WORLD and AGAINST THE SPIRITUAL FORCES OF EVIL IN THE HEAVENLY REALMS.
The Holy Bible: King James Version Chapter 6
16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
Pastor What do I Do? How Do I get out of these Portals and get to the sheep gate:
to throw or cast down, overthrow, to strike down, kill
When I was about 18 years Old In Technical School and working for Board Of Education my best friend Tony Jones suggested we go to NY and buy a pound of weed and go into the drug dealing bussiness.
That was the Door:
We went into business and even though both of us came from good families and both had nice cars without selling drugs, because he sugguested it and i thought it was a good idea i did it.
I opened the door and walked in:
I took some kids from the neighbor took them off the porch and bam in bussiness.
1. Portal: I’m good at it, but it was interferring with my day job and school.
Portal 2. I graduated from Tony to other friends that where better hustlers, but more dangerous and willing to take great risk with selling cocaine
Portal 3. 19 years old my dad died, then i was involved with a triple homicide and i became my best customer sniffing everyday
Portal 4. Suicidal thoughts and Homicidal schemes
Portal 5. going from girl to girl never commited
So when you read the scripture of the man at the tombs tormented: that was me!! (Mark 5)
Fast forward I’m 25 not saved, needing a job & settled down and soon to be married but didn’t know that then. I’m in the car Telling my cousin Rick Kennedy I can’t find a job and Hustling is all i Know how to do.. He emmediatly corrected me and told me that was the dumbest thing he ever heard me say. And that my brothers and sister was the beginning of a cast down overthrow of my thoughts, feelings, opionion’s and imaginition’s. It took someone who loved me to tell me the truth.
i had a choice remain in this prison mindset or break free!!
That was God the good Shepard speaking through my cousin who i respected and honored.
4 for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses.
5 We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,
6 and we are ready to punish all disobedience, whenever your obedience is complete.
7 You are looking at things as they are outwardly. If anyone is confident in himself that he is Christ’s, let him consider this again within himself, that just as he is Christ’s, so also are we.
