PSALM 119:1-8 COMMITMENT TO GOD’S WORD DILIGENTLY PURSUE GOD’S WORD TO HAVE A VIBRANT RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD. SO THEN . . . HOW DO I KEEP ALL THE EXPECTATIONS OF GOD’S WORD? Value God’s Word PSALM 119:9-16 VALUE GOD’S WORD 1. Keeping free from sin flows out of desire to conform one’s life to God’s Word. 9-11 2. “Who God is” is the basis for learning God’s Word! 12 3. My passion in life must be God’s Word. 13-16 MY PASSION IN LIFE MUST BE GOD’S WORD. 13-16 A. I talk about all of God’s Word. 13 B. I am excited about God’s Word. 14 C. I constantly think about God’s Word. 15 D. I value God’s Word. 16 MY PASSION FOR GOD’S WORD WILL LEAD ME TO RIGHTEOUS LIFE CHOICES. VALUE GOD’S WORD. APPLICATION 1. What do you want most in life? I want _____________________ more than anything in life. 2. What you value will direct your life choices? Do you value God’s Word? Does what God thinks actually matter to you? 3. Take the value test – HOW DO I VALUE GOD’S WORD PRACTICALLY? A. I study the Word of God seeking to understand it. B. I believe what God’s Word says. C. I allow the Word of God to direct my choices. D. I memorize the truth of God’s Word. (Internalize truth) E. I expose my heart to the truth of God’s Word. F. I defend the truth of God’s Word. MY PASSION FOR GOD’S WORD WILL LEAD ME TO RIGHTEOUS LIFE CHOICES. VALUE GOD’S WORD.
