Class 1 Review:
God created the world in a perfect and complete way—it was good.
Man and woman enjoyed an untainted relationship with God, until they listened to Satan and experienced the consequences of sin.
They left the garden and sin continued to multiply.

Main Events:
The righteous began to intermarry with the wicked:
The context is not that God became angry with the angels, but with mankind.
It is potentially the case that we are looking at the descendents of Seth and Cain coming together who previously were separated.

As sin began to multiply, God decided to not only limit their lifespans, but to wipe it all out and start from scratch:
VS 12, we’ve reached the anti of chapters 1 and 2:
Noah is given instructions to build an ark, survive, and enter into a covenant with Yahweh God.
Main Themes:
The progression of sin: it hasn’t gotten any better, and it won’t
Totality of language (vs 5) is often used as a contrast (v8)
The ability to lead your family in the midst of a wicked world:
God’s giving of instructions, those approved following them

Main Events
The ark is filled with the animals for preservation and sacrifice.
The flood gates are opened, no one is left to survive except those on the ark.

Noah’s trust in God:
He could not see, but had faith that God had not abandoned him.
He had faith that God would finish the purpose that He started.
