The Truth
The Truth
Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.
Take hold of instruction; do not let go. Guard her, for she is your life.
How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping it according to Your word.
Your word I have treasured in my heart, That I may not sin against You.
If we truly want to be kept we must meditate on God’s Word.
Our flesh or even the Holy Spirit alone will not stand against the devil.
It’s only through the Word of God revealed and confirmed in the Holy Spirit that we can stand against the devil.
When we hear and obey, we find out how much we truly are loved.
1 Peter 1:22-25—The Word brings us hope.
For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.
The Word of God gives us purpose.
It is when we know God’s Word, that He will then give us vision for our lives.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
We know we have the living hope when we get to know God’s Word and it is hid in our hearts.
My sheep hear my voice.
We cultivate this accuracy on knowing God’s Word.
Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe; the works that I do in My Father’s name, these testify of Me.
“But you do not believe because you are not of My sheep.
“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me;
and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.
My soul weeps because of grief; Strengthen me according to Your word.
The Word is encouragement through grief.
Refuge--”a shelter, a rock, a refuge”
Stronghold, a high tower, a fortress
God is a dependable refuge for His people when everything around you seems to be falling apart.
He doesn’t protect us to pamper us. He shelters us so He can strengthen us to go back to life with its duties and dangers.
He cannot work for us unless we trust Him.
And He did not do many miracles there because of their unbelief.
The word trouble describes people in tight places in a corner and unable to get out and when this happens don’t be afraid. Like double-teaming in b-ball, a boxer in a corner.
John 7:37-39--God provides us with the water of life.
The Holy Spirit’s chief function is to illuminate Jesus’ teaching—to glorify His person and to work in the life of the individual believer and the church.
Ever present help in the time of need.
The Lord wants to build character so we can be what He called us to be.
He wants us to be built up in Him.
He wants us to lean on Him and not a false temporary fix that tears us down. We can’t hear His voice if we are distracted all the time.
He wants to be the Lord of our lives, but will never force us to put Him #1. We always want to be our own God but He wants to be the source of our strength.
He makes us sensitive to the needs of others. Love your neighbor as yourself.
He wants us to lean totally on Hi in all things.
He fills us with the fruit of joy in our trials.
There is no one better under pressure than Him.
We must come to the point that we put our total trust in Hi, in His Word. He’s got our lives in His hand.
When we lean on Him, He will lead us to light.
Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.
He gives us peace through our troubled mind when we just don’t know what to do.
We are in the care of the Master’s hand.
He wants us to talk to Him.
He wants us to surrender all to Him.
If you’re ready to put God first and be your Lord and Savior, your address can change.
