Philippians 2:12–18 (NASB 2020)
12 So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; 13 for it is God who is at work in you, both to desire and to work for His good pleasure. 14 Do all things without complaining or arguments; 15 so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world, 16 holding firmly the word of life, so that on the day of Christ I can take pride because I did not run in vain nor labor in vain. 17 But even if I am being poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and share my joy with you all. 18 You too, I urge you, rejoice in the same way and share your joy with me.

(Working Out) My Salvation

The Clarification Of Salvation

The Work of Salvation is all about Jesus Christ work on earth for the payment for our sin debt for eternal redemption.
It is only in Christ Jesus
Acts 4:12 (NASB 2020)
12 And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among mankind by which we must be saved.”
John 10:9–10 “9 I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came so that they would have life, and have it abundantly.”
John 14:6 (NASB 2020)
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.
The Blood of Christ Jesus Avails
Romans 5:8–9 (NASB 2020)
8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.
1 Thessalonians 5:8–10 (NASB 2020)
8 But since we are of the day, let’s be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation. 9 For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with Him.

The Confusion About Salvation

The Influences of worldviews: Home, Community, Country and personal experiences builds how we could interpret salvation process
Traditional Practices and Habits form about Christ and the church (Holiday visitors and curious regulars who are non-believers)
1 Corinthians 15:1–2 (NASB 2020)
1 Now I make known to you, brothers and sisters, the gospel which I preached to you, which you also received, in which you also stand, 2 by which you also are saved, if you hold firmly to the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain.
Unbiblical Beliefs about God, His Nature, Authority, Presence and Power

Salvation has an order: Salvation by Faith, Justification, Sanctification, Glorification

The Cost Of Your Work

It Begins with your Understanding and Attitude about the faith
It’s the knowledge that your discipleship means we have the in dwelling Holy Spirit and He has a job to do.
Acts 15:8 (NASB 2020)
And God, who knows the heart, testified to them giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He also did to us;
Galatians 3:2–5 (NASB 2020)
This is the only thing I want to find out from you: did you receive the Spirit by works of the Law, or by hearing with faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh? Did you suffer so many things in vain—if indeed it was in vain? So then, does He who provides you with the Spirit and works miracles among you, do it by works of the Law, or by hearing with faith?
John 16:7–11 (NASB 2020)
7 But I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I am leaving; for if I do not leave, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you. 8 And He, when He comes, will convict the world regarding sin, and righteousness, and judgment: 9 regarding sin, because they do not believe in Me; 10 and regarding righteousness, because I am going to the Father and you no longer are going to see Me; 11 and regarding judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.
It also means that we are in a yielded partnership with the Holy Spirit and not grieve the Holy Spirit.
Philippians 2:13 (NASB 2020)
13 for it is God who is at work in you, both to desire and to work for His good pleasure.
Ephesians 4:30 (NASB 2020)
30 Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
Do we value the gift of the Holy Spirit?
Do you understand our relationship with God came at a price and our discipleship does.
Not feeling worthy of the gift of the Holy Spirit is costly to the will of God at work (Spiritual Self-worth)
God gave his son to us (John 3:16) for the gift of eternal lift, and Jesus gave us the gift of the Holy Spirit for securing us (Eph 4:30) and working through us to God’s glory. And is at our expense under the Holy Spirits power to give the gift of the gospel message to all men. (Matt 28:19-20)
The cost also means that we are to put of the Character of Christ as armour to protect what is precious to us. “Mercy and Grace”. Eph 6:11
Ephesians 6:11 (NASB 2020)
11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.
Our sanctification is being set apart for the service to God because of the Messianic work. And the work is the process of us responding by continuing the act of Giving the gift of the Gospel under the guiding of the Holy Spirit. The Whosoever generations need us.

The Conduct Of My Work

With Fear and Trembling (Submission and Awe) Even Me!
Knowing God is at work within us…
Knowing this assignment is for God’s desire (Will)
Knowing this assignment is for God’s good pleasure

The Character Of My Work

Must not
Complain…displays disgruntle behavior regarding a Holy, Sovereign, Righteous God while ignoring his desires and good pleasure
That’s why it is imperative that when it comes to our service assignments biblically or asked by leadership it should be done as if God has command you to your face and nothing less should be said but a submissive yes Lord!
Must not
Arguing… displays
Misunderstanding
Miscommunication
Unmet Expectations (You didn’t do this for me, so I’ll get to it when I feel like it)
Ego or Pride
Stress and fatigue
Power Struggle (Your way, your time, your pleasure)
Lack of empathy (Don’t care, let someone else do it)
Unresolved issues….Some of us or someone we know have issues with leadership or God. (You’re mad at HIM)
Intentional distain
Complainer/Whinny
Its a terrible thing to argue because it is a poor reflection of how you value your God’s Purpose over your own.
Proverbs 3:6 (NASB 2020)
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.
Why we should never “Complain and Argue”
It will prove that you are:
Blameless and Innocent
Children of God above reproach (blame) in the presence of a perverse world
Must Do
Hold firmly the word of life…so that on the day of Christ I can feel like my labor wasn’t in vain.
Sacrifice yourself totally through service for the cause of Christ (Even if I’m sacrificed before you)
Rejoice and share your joy with one another
