Psalm 95:1-3
O come, let us sing unto the Lord: Let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, And make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. For the Lord is a great God, And a great King above all gods.
In a choir like Madrigal, we tour and will sing some fun songs for school chapels and we will use our talents and abilities to minister to them there. Madrigal will also come alongside Churches that are in the areas of the tour. There are some really important reasons that we put our main focus on the church services though.
Maranatha is developing leaders for ministry in the local church as well as the world.
Christians as a whole are hurting. Can you feel the pressure of the sin in the world pressing on you daily?
Christians face opposition from the world due to their faith and efforts to serve God. And churches, composed of believers working amidst unbelievers and worldly challenges, bear a significant burden.
While college students also face these challenges, we are in a different stage of life, blessed with a supportive community of fellow believers on campus.
Psalm 95 encourages us to support and uplift the Lord, as well as, one another through music and scripture, sharing their faith and providing encouragement to others. For the Lord is good and His mercy endures forever.
a. This is a “why” to what we are doing. We praise God for being the rock of our salvation, we sing psalms to him, because He is Great, and a Great King of all kings.
Let me give you a proposition:
Learning how to do ministry before actively engaging in it is crucial because it equips individuals with the necessary skills, knowledge, and spiritual maturity to effectively serve and support others.
This preparation helps us as we navigate the challenges of ministry, build a strong foundation of faith, and foster a deeper understanding of your calling, ultimately leading to a more impactful and sustainable ministry later in life.
The theme passage for Madrigal this year is Psalm 95:1-3. I believe this passage will guide us in stepping aside from our own obstacles, allowing us to minister more effectively to others. By focusing on who we are worshiping, we can better share the love of Christ with both believers and unbelievers through our singing.
