Genesis 4: 10-15

And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground. 11 And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother’s blood from thy hand; 12 When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth. 13 And Cain said unto the Lord, My punishment is greater than I can bear. 14 Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me. 15 And the Lord said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the Lord set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.

4 Love endures with patience and serenity, Patience and Serenity is the prequiset for Love to endure. Serenity is calm or peaceful its the absence of mental stress or anxiety.

love is kind and thoughtful,

and is not jealous or envious;

love does not brag and is not proud or arrogant.

5 It is not rude;

it is not self-seeking,

it is not provoked [nor overly sensitive and easily angered];

it does not take into account a wrong endured.

6 It does not rejoice at injustice,

but rejoices with the truth [when right and truth prevail]. 7 Love bears all things [regardless of what comes],

believes all things [looking for the best in each one],

hopes all things [remaining steadfast during difficult times],

endures all things [without weakening].

8 Love never fails [it never fades nor ends].

Love is an indescribable emotion that comes directly from the heart. It can lead you to do some crazy things as well as lead you to go crazy. Love is an action word, Bishop would say that Love is not Love unless its shown. In order to express Love it must be on display, an open display for all to see. Love is an emotion that drives you to happiness and fulfillment. God displayed his love for us when he offered his son up for the remission of our sins.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Begotten- being the only one of its kind

Significant of Son is because the son was the one that carried the seed

This is an act of uunconditional love. There are different types of love.

Eros This type of love is often called romantic love and is described in the Song of Solomon.

Agape This type of love is considered universal love and can be felt for other people, nature, and a higher power. It can be expressed through meditation, nature, intuition, and spirituality.

Philia This type of love is described as love between close friends. It involves a desire to spend time with friends, give to them, and receive from them.

Storge This type of love is often described as family love, such as the love a parent has for their child. It is a natural, unforced type of love.

Philautia This type of love is self-love or self-compassion.

Pragma This type of love is practical love that is based on reason, duty, and long-term interests. It prioritizes personal qualities and compatibility over sexual attraction.

IN john God expressed agape LOVE for us.

Genesis 4:15 brings us to the first example in the bible of unconditional love.

Talk about Cain and able and how some one read verse 15 out loud.

What does this mean for us??

Hooping begins

NO matter waht weve been throught in our lives we are covered and potected by God. We may have made some real life mistakes that hurt people, that injured people, that ruined people or even killed them but the love that God has for us is greater. His love for Us is greater than anything we have ever experienced in our lives. HIs love for us washes away all of our sins, his love for us drives out all fears and love carrys us through difficult situations. Regardless of what were going through Gods love will caryy us through. There are times when people try to condemn us or put us back into a box of isolation or confusion BUt i want to let you know that God’s love has freed us from the bondages of our past. When ever the enemy tries to get close to you tell him dont touch me. When ever your past tries to come back around speak to it and say dont touch me. It’s time for us to start living in the word and aloowing the word to carry us into the next phase of our lives. No matter what you do the enemy will always be in the shawdows lurking and waiting for you. I want you to say to that devil you can look but dont touch. Cause Ive been marked by God. I know you feel as through your life is all over the place, you feel like an outcast, you feel like nothing is working for you, you felt like you were cursed but I want to encourage you on today and remind you that your not cursed your just marked. Tell your neighbor Im not cursed Im just marked. Im marked with his love, Im marked with his patience, Im marked with his long suffering, Im marked with understanding, Im marked with peace, Im marked with kindness and most of all Im marked with the precious blood of Jesus Chirst.
