Psalm 120:1–7 NASB 2020

I cried to the Lord in my trouble, And He answered me. Rescue my soul, Lord, from lying lips, From a deceitful tongue. What will He give to you, and what more will He do to you, You deceitful tongue? Sharp arrows of the warrior, With the burning coals of the broom tree! Woe to me, for I reside in Meshech, For I have settled among the tents of Kedar! Too long has my soul had its dwelling With those who hate peace. I am for peace, but when I speak, They are for war.

Author

All of The authors of the Psalms are unknown, we know that Moses wrote (13), Aaron wrote (4) David (73), Solomon (2), the sons of Korah (11, including one to which the name of Heman is also attached), Asaph (12), and Ethan (1) it is possible that others also wrote some of the Psalms, as well!!!!

The Author of Psalms 120 is unknown, we know that he is nomadic Ps 120:5, and we know that he is in now what is Norther Turkey Ps 120:5!!!! But that is all we know!!!!

Date

The date of the Psalms covers from the Exodus, roughly 1300 BC through the return of the exiles, 586ish some 800 years.

We do not know the date nor time of Ps 120!!!!

The Psalms, are songs, poems and hymns to praise and honor YHWH!!!!

PS 120 whose sum is (3) YHWH The Holy Spirit, YHWH Ruach Gen 1:2, Enoch 37:1–5, Enoch 50:1–5, Exo 31:3!!!! (120) is the product of (10) whose sum is (1) YHWH the Father, YHWH, Ge 1:1, Rev 22:13,  and is the embodiment of the perfect fulfillment of the Law Mat 5:17-20, Rom 13:8-10, Christ Jesus in You 2 Co 5:17-21, Eph 4:1-32, times (12) which is a representation of YHWH the Church, Qahal, Ecclesia, it is the (12) Tribes of Israel, or the (12) Apostles. Its sum is (3) YHWH, the Holy Spirit, Gen 1:2, Rev 22:17. It is the product of (3) YHWH, the Holy Spirit, John 14:15-31, John 16:4-15, times (4) YHWH the Church, Qahal, Ecclesia, John 10:30-38, John 14:1-31, John 15:1-27, John 17:20-26!!!! Theology/Purpose

The Theology of the Psalms is to declare YHWH as Lord God almighty. That we need to trust in the ways of YHWH and not man, 2 Ki 18:1-37, 2 Mac 8:18-20, 2 Mac 15:1-39, Psa 37:3, Psa 56:4, Psa 118:8-9, Prov 3:5-6, Mat 19:26, Mark 9:23, Luk 1:37!!!!

The over all purpose of Ps 119 is to teach YHWH the Church, YHWH Qahal, Ecclesia, Rom 8:9-10, Rom 12:1-8, 1 Co 3:16, 1 Co 6:12-20, 1 Co 12:1-31 that the Word of YHWH is more precious then Gold and Silver. That we must spend time in the Word Daily, we must memorize God's Word, in order for His Truth to be revealed in our Hearts. 

The purpose of Ps 120 is to teach all to seek YHWH, Ps 119:145-152, Ps 120:1-7, Mat 7:7-8, John 7:17 that you are saved from your sins, for YHWH will forgive you of Your Sins, Mat 6:14, Mat 18:21-22, Mar 11:25, Luk 6:37, Col 3:13, 1 Jn 1:6-9!!!!
