Remember Ch. 7 was a break between the opening of the first 6 seals and the now the 7th seal in Ch. 8.
Ch. 8
The 7th Seal: Initiates the 7 trumpet judgements.
v.1
· The 7th seal is opened
· ½ hour of silence in heaven (J. Vernon McGee said, “This is proof there are no women in heaven!”
v.2
· 7 angels who stand before God receive 7 trumpets.
v. 3-
· Vid. 36:18 mins.
· Tabernacle:
o Only one door in
o The first thing you encounter when you enter the Tabernacle is the brazen altar. (sacrifice altar)
o Next, you encounter the laver where the priest would wash up before entering the holy place.
o In the holy place to the right was the table of show bread? To the left the lamp stand
o Then beyond that was the veil to the Holy of Holies: behind that was the Ark of the Covenant and the Mercy Seat. Just in front of that veil, was a golden altar where they would burn incense. It would get tended to 3 times a day.
v. 4
· Incense: Always represents prayers. The way the smoke of the incense rises so do the prayers of the saints rise before God.
v. 5
· The angel fills the cencer (incensario) with fire from the altar and throws it to earth.
· This is an answer to the prayer of the martyrs that we saw in the 5th seal when they asked God when their deaths would be avenged.
v.6
· The Angels prepare to blow trumpets.
· All of this is a preamble to the blowing of the trumpets.
The first trumpet: Vegetation Struck
v. 7
· Literal real hail, real fire, real blood. Not a metaphor.
· Vegetation devastated 1/3
The second trumpet: The Seas Struck
v. 8-9
· Simily (Sp. Simil): “something like…”
· Something like a burning mountain is thrown into the sea, possibly a giant meteor, who knows.
· 1/3 of sea becomes blood (not like blood)
· Maybe blood of 📷 of the living creatures in the sea that just died.
· 1/3 of the ships were destroyed (maybe due to tsunamis created by meteor?)
Third Trumpet: The Waters Struck
v. 10-11
· Star can be either literal star, but star is also used in scripture to refer to angels. (ex.
· It could be a fallen angel
· Isaiah 14 & Ezekiel 28alludes to satan fallen angel.
· Fell on 1/3
· Wormwood (Gr. Apsinthion) (Sp. Ajenjo) = undrinkable (Sp. Imbebible)
Fourth Trumpet: The Heavens Struck
v. 12-13
· Something occurs cosmically. Either damage to the sun directly or something blocks part of the sunlight from us. Not known for sure.
· v. 13 “I looked, and I heard an angelflying…” Some versions say “eagle”.
· “Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth…” (Sp. ¡Ay! ¡Ay! ¡Ay de los abitants de la tierra”) One woe for each of the next 3 trumpets.
End of Revelation 8
Vid: 50:42 mins.
Next time we’ll look at the next 2 trumpet judgements…

Revelation 9 (Notes)
(2 Demon Armies)
Fifth Trumpet: The Locusts (Sp. Langostas) from the Bottomless Pit
v. 1-12
Sixth Trumpet: The Angels from the Euphrates come to kill 1/3 of mankind. w/ an army of 200 million demons. V. 16
v. 13-21
END:
· Notice in each of these judgements we saw today; they are only in 1/3 rds, Not total.
· God is still giving people a chance to repent,
· But we’ll see at the end of Chapter 9… how hard a man’s heart can get…
20 The rest of mankind who were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood—idols that cannot see or hear or walk. 21 Nor did they repent of their murders, their magic arts, their sexual immorality or their thefts. Rev. 9:20-21
Sometimes I wonder what does God have to do for humanity to open their eyes, to wake up!
I’m reminded of what God told Ezekiel…
“Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
“Son of man, you dwell in the midst of a rebellious house,
which has eyes to see but does not see, and ears to hear but does not hear;
for they are a rebellious house.
“Therefore, son of man, prepare your belongings for captivity, and go into captivity…”
-Ezekiel 12:1-3
Nuevamente recibí un mensaje del Señor:
“Hijo de hombre, tú vives entre rebeldes
que tienen ojos, pero se niegan a ver;
tienen oídos, pero se niegan a oír,
porque son un pueblo rebelde.
Por tanto, hijo de hombre, prepara tus bienes
para el cautiverio, y ve al cautiverio…
-Ezekiel 12:1-3
This is not a game people!!! Esto no es un juego señores!!!
If you need to ask God for forgiveness… the altar is open. Open your eyes… Open your ears…DY:
