So the LORD lets them miss out of the land
Numbers 21:4–9 CSB
Then they set out from Mount Hor by way of the Red Sea to bypass the land of Edom, but the people became impatient because of the journey. The people spoke against God and Moses: “Why have you led us up from Egypt to die in the wilderness? There is no bread or water, and we detest this wretched food!” Then the Lord sent poisonous snakes among the people, and they bit them so that many Israelites died. The people then came to Moses and said, “We have sinned by speaking against the Lord and against you. Intercede with the Lord so that he will take the snakes away from us.” And Moses interceded for the people. Then the Lord said to Moses, “Make a snake image and mount it on a pole. When anyone who is bitten looks at it, he will recover.” So Moses made a bronze snake and mounted it on a pole. Whenever someone was bitten, and he looked at the bronze snake, he recovered.

Numbers 21:7 CSB
The people then came to Moses and said, “We have sinned by speaking against the Lord and against you. Intercede with the Lord so that he will take the snakes away from us.” And Moses interceded for the people.
“And Moses interceded for the people”
Moses was a pastor to the people not just a tour guide.
This people push Moses to the put that he disobeyed GOD by hitting the rock for water. He would not enter the promised land now. Yet he prayed on their behalf.

Numbers 21:8–9 CSB
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Make a snake image and mount it on a pole. When anyone who is bitten looks at it, he will recover.” So Moses made a bronze snake and mounted it on a pole. Whenever someone was bitten, and he looked at the bronze snake, he recovered.
look and recover
What did they ask Moses to pray?
“take the snakes away from us”
Is that what the LORD did? NO!
WHY? There must be a punishment for sin of the LORD is not a good judge.
Why does GOD allow bad things to happen?
The LORD didn’t remove the consequences of sin but He made a way to restore them.

THE LORD MADE A WAY
The bible doesn’t repeat itself but it does rhyme.
Romans 6:23 CSB
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
1 John 1:8–9 CSB
If we say, “We have no sin,” we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Romans 8:34 CSB
Who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is the one who died, but even more, has been raised; he also is at the right hand of God and intercedes for us.
John 3:14–16 CSB
“Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life. For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
