Eclesiastés 12:13–14 (NTV)

13 Aquí culmina el relato. Mi conclusión final es la siguiente: teme a Dios y obedece sus mandatos, porque ese es el deber que tenemos todos.

14 Dios nos juzgará por cada cosa que hagamos, incluso lo que hayamos hecho en secreto, sea bueno o sea malo.

13 That’s the whole story. Here now is my final conclusion: Fear God and obey his commands, for this is everyone’s duty.

14 God will judge us for everything we do, including every secret thing, whether good or bad.

Por esta fecha los estudiantes están ingresando a la escuela para aprender el conocimiento que los ayudará en su subsistencia.

At this time, students are entering school to learn the knowledge that will help them in their survival.

-La vida es como una escuela, en la que cada experiencia nos deja una lección que debemos aprender para tener una mejor existencia.

-Life is like a school, in which each experience leaves us with a lesson that we must learn to have a better existence.

-Hoy queremos que te inscribas en la escuela de Dios, es la escuela del evangelio, en la que se aprenden las verdaderas lecciones de vida.

-Today we want you to enroll in God's school, it is the school of the gospel, where the true lessons of life are learned.

-En esta escuela el maestro por excelencia es Dios nuestro Creador; el texto de estudio es la Biblia; el centro de estudios es la iglesia; el titulo de graduación es “hijos de Dios”; y la medalla para los estudiantes es la vida eterna.

-In this school the teacher par excellence is God our Creator; the study text is the Bible; the center of studies is the church; the graduation title is "children of God"; and the medal for students is eternal life.

La conclusión final | The final conclusion

-Los textos que leímos, contienen la conclusión a la que llegó el que se considera el hombre más sabio sobre la tierra, el rey Salomón.

-The texts we read contain the conclusion reached by the man who is considered the wisest man on earth, King Solomon.

-Después de hacer un largo análisis acerca de la vida, el llega a la conclusión de la vida no tiene sentido si no se vive según el propósito de Dios.

-After making a long analysis about life, he comes to the conclusion that life has no meaning if it is not lived according to God's purpose.

-Salomón descubrió que tenerlo de todo y saberlo todo, no trae satisfacción al ser humano.

-Solomon discovered that having everything and knowing everything does not bring satisfaction to the human being.

-Una vida en la que solo se trabaja para obtener cosas materiales y se sufre dificultades para tratar de no perder estas cosas; no tiene sentido.

-A life in which one only works to obtain material things and suffers difficulties in order not to lose these things; it does not make sense.

-El rey de Israel nos enseña que lo que realmente trae una satisfacción completa y perdurable es “tener temor de Dios y obedecerle”.

-The king of Israel teaches us that what really brings complete and lasting satisfaction is “fearing God and obeying him.”

La vanidad de la vida | The vanity of life

-Este rey que “Todo lo que quiso lo hizo suyo, y no se negó ningún placer” (2.10); después de su larga reflexión sobre el sentido de la vida, llega a algunas deducciones:

-This king who “made everything he wanted his own, and denied himself no pleasure” (2.10); after his long reflection on the meaning of life, comes to some deductions:

En la vida no sucede nada nuevo (1.9)

Nothing new happens in life (1.9)

La satisfacción no se encuentra en el mucho saber, ni en el tener, ni en el mucho tener (1.18; 2.11)

Satisfaction is not found in much knowledge, nor in having, nor in having much (1.18; 2.11)

Un día tendremos que dejar lo que tenemos; y no sabemos quién lo disfrutará (2.15-19)

One day we will have to leave what we have; and we do not know who will enjoy it (2.15-19)

Todos volveremos al polvo de la tierra de donde fuimos tomados (3.119-20)

We will all return to the dust of the earth from which we were taken (3.119-20)

Si una persona no tiene, sufre. Si una persona tiene cosas y trabaja con excelencia despierta la envidia de los demás (4.4)

If a person does not have, he suffers. If a person has things and works with excellence, he arouses the envy of others (4.4)

Por más que trabajemos y ganemos riquezas, no podremos llevarnos nada el día de nuestra muerte (5.13-16)

No matter how hard we work and earn riches, we will not be able to take anything with us on the day of our death (5.13-16)

Hay quienes acumulan bienes y riquezas, pero no tienen el tiempo de disfrutarlas (6.2)

There are those who accumulate goods and riches, but do not have the time to enjoy them (6.2)

Dios hizo al hombre recto, pero ellos se buscaron muchas perversiones (7.20)

God made man upright, but they sought out many perversions (7.20)

El ser humano no tiene potestad sobre el día de la muerte (8.8)

Human beings have no power over the day of death (8.8)

La fuerza de la juventud no es para siempre (12.1-7)

The strength of youth is not forever (12.1-7)

El día del examen final | The day of the final exam

-El ser humano ha sobrepasado los límites morales, sociales, espirituales con tal de obtener todo aquello, que según Salomón es “pasajero”, todo lo que no tiene “valor permanente”.

-Human beings have surpassed moral, social, and spiritual limits in order to obtain everything that, according to Solomon, is “temporary,” everything that has no “permanent value.”

-La última reflexión de Salomón fue “un día es ser humano tendrá que dar cuenta a Dios de todos sus hechos” (12.13-14). Este será el ultimo examen.

-Solomon's last reflection was “one day every human being will have to give an account to God of all his deeds” (12.13-14). This will be the last exam.

-Este examen no se aprueba con la cantidad de dinero que tengamos, o con los conocimientos que hayamos adquirido.

-This exam is not passed with the amount of money we have, or with the knowledge we have acquired.

-Este examen no se aprueba por el hecho de haber practicado alguna religión, o por haber mantenido una buena moral.

-This exam is not passed by the fact of having practiced a religion, or by having maintained good morals.

Romanos 2:2–16 (NTV)

2 Y sabemos que Dios, en su justicia, castigará a todos los que hacen tales cosas…

4 ¿No te das cuenta de lo bondadoso, tolerante y paciente que es Dios contigo? ¿Acaso eso no significa nada para ti? ¿No ves que la bondad de Dios es para guiarte a que te arrepientas y abandones tu pecado?

5 Pero eres terco y te niegas a arrepentirte y abandonar tu pecado, por eso vas acumulando un castigo terrible para ti mismo. Pues se acerca el día de la ira, en el cual se manifestará el justo juicio de Dios.

6 Él juzgará a cada uno según lo que haya hecho…

11 Pues Dios no muestra favoritismo.

12 Los gentiles serán destruidos por el hecho de pecar, aunque nunca tuvieron la ley escrita de Dios; y los judíos, quienes sí tienen la ley de Dios, serán juzgados por esa ley porque no la obedecen.

13 Pues el simple acto de escuchar la ley no nos hace justos ante Dios. Es obedecer la ley lo que nos hace justos ante sus ojos. 14 Aun los gentiles, quienes no cuentan con la ley escrita de Dios, muestran que conocen esa ley cuando, por instinto, la obedecen aunque nunca la hayan oído.

15 Ellos demuestran que tienen la ley de Dios escrita en el corazón, porque su propia conciencia y sus propios pensamientos o los acusan o les indican que están haciendo lo correcto.

16 Y el mensaje que proclamo es que se acerca el día en que Dios juzgará, por medio de Cristo Jesús, la vida secreta de cada uno.

2 And we know that God, in his justice, will punish anyone who does such things…

4 Don’t you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Can’t you see that his kindness is intended to turn you from your sin?

5 But because you are stubborn and refuse to turn from your sin, you are storing up terrible punishment for yourself. For a day of anger is coming, when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed.

6 He will judge everyone according to what they have done…

11 For God does not show favoritism.

12 When the Gentiles sin, they will be destroyed, even though they never had God’s written law. And the Jews, who do have God’s law, will be judged by that law when they fail to obey it.

13 For merely listening to the law doesn’t make us right with God. It is obeying the law that makes us right in his sight.

14 Even Gentiles, who do not have God’s written law, show that they know his law when they instinctively obey it, even without having heard it.

15 They demonstrate that God’s law is written in their hearts, for their own conscience and thoughts either accuse them or tell them they are doing right.

16 And this is the message I proclaim—that the day is coming when God, through Christ Jesus, will judge everyone’s secret life.

-La Biblia dice que “está establecido para los hombres que mueran una sola vez, y después de esto el juicio” (He. 9.27).

-The Bible says that “it is appointed for men to die once, and after this comes judgment” (Heb. 9:27).

¿Cómo aprobar este examen? | How to pass this test?

-¿Porqué el ser humano debe presentarse delante de Dios para dar cuenta de su vida?

-Why must man appear before God to give an account of his life?

-Porque Dios le dio al hombre vida, autoridad, recursos y responsabilidades. ¿Qué ha hecho la humanidad con todo esto que Dios le dio?

-Because God gave man life, authority, resources and responsibilities. What has humanity done with all that God gave him?

-La única manera de aprobar el ultimo examen de la vida ante el juicio de Dios es evitándolo, porque no hay manera de justificar nuestros pecados delante de Dios.

-The only way to pass the final test of life before God's judgment is to avoid it, because there is no way to justify our sins before God.

-Es por eso que Dios realizó un juicio en el que juzgó los pecados de la humanidad. Ese juicio fue sobre Jesús en la cruz. “Dios cargó en Cristo el pecado de todos nosotros”.

-That is why God held a judgment in which He judged the sins of humanity. That judgment was on Jesus on the cross. “God laid on Christ the sin of us all.”

13 Cristo nos redimió de la maldición de la ley, hecho por nosotros maldición (porque está escrito: Maldito todo el que es colgado en un madero).

13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”).

-Todo pecado, toda mala acción, toda injusticia, hasta toda mala palabra será juzgada delante de Dios.

-Every sin, every bad action, every injustice, even every bad word will be judged before God.

-¿Cómo puedo evitar ese juicio, si todos somos culpables delante de Dios?

-How can I avoid that judgment, if we are all guilty before God?

Hechos de los Apóstoles 17:30–31 (NTV)

30 En la antigüedad Dios pasó por alto la ignorancia de la gente acerca de estas cosas, pero ahora él manda que todo el mundo en todas partes se arrepienta de sus pecados y vuelva a él. 31 Pues él ha fijado un día para juzgar al mundo con justicia por el hombre que él ha designado, y les demostró a todos quién es ese hombre al levantarlo de los muertos.

31 For he has set a day for judging the world with justice by the man he has appointed, and he proved to everyone who this is by raising him from the dead.”

-La manera de evitar el juicio delante de Dios es arrepintiéndonos de nuestros pecados delante del Señor Jesucristo y creyendo en la justificación que El obtuvo en la cruz.

-The way to avoid judgment before God is to repent of our sins before the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in the justification He obtained on the cross.

Romanos 3:21–24 (NTV)

21 Pero ahora, tal como se prometió tiempo atrás en los escritos de Moisés y de los profetas, Dios nos ha mostrado cómo podemos ser justos ante él sin cumplir con las exigencias de la ley.

22 Dios nos hace justos a sus ojos cuando ponemos nuestra fe en Jesucristo. Y eso es verdad para todo el que cree, sea quien fuere.

23 Pues todos hemos pecado; nadie puede alcanzar la meta gloriosa establecida por Dios.

24 Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.

1 Por lo tanto, ya que fuimos declarados justos a los ojos de Dios por medio de la fe, tenemos paz con Dios gracias a lo que Jesucristo nuestro Señor hizo por nosotros.

1 Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.

¿Quién desea inscribirse en la escuela de Dios? ¿Quién quiere aprobar este ultimo examen? Solo hay que creer en la obra de Cristo en la cruz, para que seamos justificados de todos nuestros sus pecados.

Who wants to enroll in God's school? Who wants to pass this last exam? We only have to believe in the work of Christ on the cross, so that we can be justified of all our sins.
