“I am the Lord; I have called you in righteousness; I will take you by the hand and keep you; I will give you as a covenant for the people, a light for the nations,
to open the eyes that are blind, to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon, from the prison those who sit in darkness.
Prayer
This is where we left off establishing the purpose for the Chosen servant
Called in Righteousness
Taken by the hand
Kept by the Lord
Covenant for the People
Light to the Nations
Chosen Servants are called and led in a manner of being held by the hand as the Lord brings them into their victory
Is 49 tells us how this verse is a reference to how we are to walk in the Lord
The process
Open the eyes of the blind
this is the work of salvation
The work of salvation is an imperative that one cannot see the Kingdom of God unless one is born again.
This is the evangelistic work that must happen before the next two steps
Prisoners from the Dungeons
Prisoners from the Dungeons
One of the major functions is to bring out from the dungeons the prisoner
Cistern as a place that is built for the self that has been made into a Jail
There is no formal guard it is a space of utter disconnection
Jer 2:12-13 Be appalled (laid to waste, left in ruin) O heavens… two evils committed
They have forsaken me, fountains of living water
They hewed out cisterns for themselves… (they did it to themselves)
they can’t hold water.
they choose the world of the Dead
This is what it is to walk in the Land of the Dead because we refuse to be submerged in the depths of the river of living water and the only person keeping us in their is the self
One of the roles is to bring these out of their cistern… their jail… but how can they come out of what they cant see
From Prison those Who Sit in Darkness
From Prison those Who Sit in Darkness
While jails and prisons can appear to be the same they are different
Prisons have guards you’ve lived in the jail for so long there are now guards appointed to keep you
The intent was never for humanity to be kept in prison
Bayit (house of)
Consider those have been in prison… how many of you have been in prison?
It is embarrassing
Institutionalized
Scripturally it can be proven everyone of us has been in or is in a prison
Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body.
Some who feel so called to literal prisoners and those who are actually called to the spiritual prisoners
As though you are there with them and the mistreated since you are in body
body (works of the flesh which are a prison)
Paul in another address says Wretched Man am I… who will deliver me from this body of death.

For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come.
The greatest of all who became a prisoner to set us free
JESUS… put on this fleshly prison
who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped,
It is the work of bringing the prisoners who are now sitting in; Terror Ignorance Sadness Confusion Evil
The House of Stocks
The House of Stocks
When Jealousy arises in the house of the Lord and the church begins to eat their own
My brother James aptly pointed out this week “…our fight is not against one another it is against the devil…”
Now Pashhur the priest, the son of Immer, who was chief officer in the house of the Lord, heard Jeremiah prophesying these things.
Then Pashhur beat Jeremiah the prophet, and put him in the stocks that were in the upper Benjamin Gate of the house of the Lord.
This is a common struggle in the church when the house is out of water
Take notice Pashhur was a priest… Jeremiah a Prophet
the priest was disconnected and when the word of God arrived showed up it offended him.
Pashhur beat Jeremiah… “Do not break a bruised reed… do not quench the faintly burning wick.”
Stocks
Bayith ha Mahpeket
The house of stock… in the house of the Lord?
Located at the Benjamin Gate or Sheep Gate…
This prison causes people to become bound hand and foot inside the house of the Lord
The Minister jealous of your anointing seeks ways to
undermine your work
second guess your decision
question if God actually called you
Restricts when how where you can serve
demands sacrifice on top of sacrifice
Not just the minister the congregation does this to ministers
all of their effort is not good enough
your on the hunt for what they’re doing wrong
cut off from the ability to have sustainability
bring more work to bog them down
places an unrealistic expectation on the minister
they show pseudogratitude to satisfy their conscience
the underhanded “I love you…but” as they cut the minister down behind their back.
the House of Stocks is one that binds you hand and foot to
Structure that is: a crooked posture, distorted, and places you in a posture of discomfort
Consider the work of gaslighting… or the work of turning your words and actions against you
How many people today are bound in stocks that are in need of being let out…
The most heart wrenching part of this it happens in the house of the Lord at the gate of where the offering is being rendered…
Leave your offering and go and be reconciled… lest your accuser hand you over to the judge and the judge to the prison… you will not leave until every least cent is paid
Bringing order to the house of the Lord is two fold in this area and requires the right aligning of the congregation and leadership…
Stop eating each other.
