Of a house, dwelling (Acts 4:31); a temple (Acts 7:49 quoted from Is. 66:1); the temple as the abode of God is called the Holy Place (Matt. 24:15; Acts 6:13, 14; 21:28; Sept.: 1 Sam. 10:25; 24:23; Ps. 24:3; Is. 60:13).

In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Matthew 17:4 KJV 1900
Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
Revelation 21:3 KJV 1900
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
Consider the place being your .new supernatural body. Definition also means a sheath.(A) Particularly (Matt. 28:6; Mark 16:6; Luke 2:7; 14:9, 10, 22; John 20:7; Acts 7:33; Heb. 8:7; Rev. 2:5; 6:14; 20:11; Sept Genesis 24:23; 1 Kgs. 8:6, 7; Prov. 25:6). In Luke 14:9, to give place to someone means to make room. See Rom. 12:19; Eph. 4:27. Of things, as a place where something is kept such as a sword, meaning a sheath, scabbard (Matt. 26:52).
After the transfiguration in Mathew 17.4, Pete and the boys wanted to make tabernacles for Jesus, Moses and Elijah. If you know any Christian applications to the Feast of Booths/Tabernacles, you know that this is foreshadowing of inheriting new spiritual bodies: “In my Father’s (skene)/house are many mansions.” The New Jerusalem coming down right now from heaven is also described in the same kind of language. Research a place for you and and the word mansions/house.
4633. σκηνή skēnḗ; gen . skēnḗs, fem. noun. A booth, hut, tabernacle, tent, any covered or shaded place. Equivalent to skḗnos (4636), tent, human body.
(II) Metaphorically of God, with en (1722), in (Acts 7:48; 17:24; Ps. 2:4; 9:11); of Christ as being permitted to take up full residence by His Spirit in the hearts of Christians (Eph. 3:17); of the fullness of the Godhead which was in Jesus (Col. 1:19; 2:9); of the Spirit dwelling in man (James 4:5); of the righteousness dwelling in the new heavens and the new earth (2 Pet. 3:13 [cf . Sept .: Jer. 32:17]).
The mansions? Is the Holy Spirit a precise calibrator of things? And why is he telling us how big the New Jerusalem is. And that is called the “Tabernacle of God that is with/in men.”
3438. μονή monḗ; gen . monḗs, fem. noun from ménō (3306), to remain, dwell. A mansion, habitation, abode (John 14:2, 23 [cf. Rev. 21:3]). Also related to mónos (3441), alone, only, single.
Syn.: oikētḗrion (3613), a habitation; katoikētḗrion (2732), a place where one dwells permanently; katoikía (2733), dwelling place; épaulis (1886), a country house, cottage, cabin; skēnḗ (4633), a tent or tabernacle; skḗnōma (4638), a pitched tent, metaphorically refers to the body.
Also, in Mark 9.3-6. We are seeing Elijah and Moses in their Heavenly Tabernacles! Yes?
Revelation 21.3 says He will take up residence with them, and they will be his people and I myself will be their God. And where is this taking place? The New Jerusalem where the throne of God is. And where He shall begin to wipe away every tear. Notice that in Revelation 21.9, that the 7 vials have not yet been poured out. This shows that: (1) We are up in heaven and God is ministering to us; and (2) the Tribulation is still going on. Pre-Tribulation rapture.
It is a city 4 Square...a cube in shape. 1380 miles on each side. Some say 1500 miles on each side, depending on what a cubit is.
