Premise of the question
Premise of the question
I think a lot of the idea stems from a misconception of terms
I think if people could explain their selves better, there would be less arguments
What does salvation entail- Rom 6- John 3:16- 1 Peter 3:21-
once you are alive and made new, do you ever need to do that again?
we don’t ever teach that but we also strongly disagree with once saved always saved
the theme of the last week or so answers the question pretty well
Keeping the Theme of the Week
Keeping the Theme of the Week
your actions have consequences, even if you have recieved salvation
1 Timothy 5:8-
Hebrews 10:29-
our word from last night presents its self again
God is just and righteous
If I accept his grace, receive his mercy, and then continue living how I was, continue allowing sin to rule my life
and God still redeems me even though I have disregarded what he has done, would he be a just and righteous God?
part of you accepting grace is changing your life. otherwise its more like theft than a gift
Sin after Salvation
Sin after Salvation
so then, if I sin after I’ve been saved what do I do?
the Hebrew writer is speaking of something continual
Paul speaks in Romans about sin that he wrestles with in doing things he doesn’t want to do
James 5- prayer that saves
God wants to give you a new life where nothing is holding you back from a relationship with him and with the people he has given you in your life
if you’re worried about it, talk to him and talk to us and after that, who could blame you
if you do that and you are seeking the good that God has given you to do, how could a just and merciful God condemn you?
seek to sin less and don’t let any one thing rule over your life or go unrepented of
