Appeal to Thier Feelings:
Feelin despair at times, exhuastion immobility, keeping to yourself, not knowing how to fix it.
Feeling sad, hopeless, self isolated, depression
Feeling like no one cares for you
The absence of human connection. You can physically have people around you but experience no movement from them toward you.
We can all be prone for Loneliness
IMPACT:
IMPACT:
When we have not connections we have no purpose
The enemy wants us alone and isolated
David experienced Loneliness
A man after God’s own heart
Psalm 25:16 (NIV)
Turn to me and be gracious to me,
for I am lonely and afflicted.
He was worn out from life’s challenges - he felt alone
We can all feel alone at times...
When you feel alone you have to know that...
POINT 1: GOD IS ALWAYS WITH YOU
POINT 1: GOD IS ALWAYS WITH YOU
Deuteronomy 31:8 (NLT)
Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.”
Matthew 11:28–30 (MSG)
“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”
You need to know God’s heart
He does not chage
He is relational
POINT 2: ACTIVELY ENGAGE COMMUNITY
POINT 2: ACTIVELY ENGAGE COMMUNITY
Hebrews 10:24–25 (NLT)
Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.
Why would we neglect meeting?
Could it be possible that the enemy doesn’t want us to ?
Just because something is hard doesn’t mean its the wrong path...
POINT 3: BE VULNERABLE
POINT 3: BE VULNERABLE
2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
There is risk in being vulnerable
Faith will require risk
There is value in vulnerability
