INTRO:
Something that highlights the need for proper environment for prosperity.
Moving to a proper understanding of the desired end for wellbeing
We would all agree in this world that we want our kids to experience this:
Ephesians 6:3 “3 “that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.””
But the disagreement is what is the environment in the home that leads to that, and what such a reality is ultimately pointing to.
The youth at present more unhappy than they have ever been, less economically prosperous, and have shorter lives through suicide, drug addiction.

The desired goal of happy and long life in creation is a lot of times a good picture of someone’s relationship with the God of that creation
Not always—major exceptions but that does not mean the rule is not in place
This life matters, and we are to desire to have an enjoyable and long life in it—but be willing to give it up for Christ if he calls us to do so
If a child leaves your home of nurture and utterly fails in the world on his or her own—he or she did not do well it is a good indicator that they are not doing well for their eternal souls
Thus, don’t think long and happy life is the final end, being nurtured and following the Lord is the final end which reveals typically in a happy long life and eternal life thereafter.
