Matthew 16:1–4 (ESV)
1 And the Pharisees and Sadducees came, and to test him they asked him to show them a sign from heaven.
People are Looking For a Sign,
2 He answered them, “When it is evening, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red.’ 3 And in the morning, ‘It will be stormy today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.
The Same People asking for signs ignore everything God has done around them.
4 An evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah.” So he left them and departed.
The death burial and resurrection of Jesus were the greatest of all signs..... And They Still didn't believe.

10 “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”
Psalm 37:7–9 (ESV)
7 Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices! 8 Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil. 9 For the evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for the Lord shall inherit the land.
