1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. 2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. 3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? 4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal? 5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? 6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. 7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. 8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. 9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building. 10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. 11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. 16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. 18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. 20 And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain. 21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours; 22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours; 23 And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's. 1 Corinthians 3
1 Corinthians 3 (ESV)
1 But I, brothers, could not address you as spiritual people, but as people of the flesh, as infants in Christ. Define Spiritual people : for me it means that all that have called upon the Lord, ask Him to enter into there Heart He/God will respond and at that point you have the Holy Spirit as a guide and a teacher.
Infants in Christ: Takes the first step and does not act upon it. Yet if he really believed and ask and trusted it means he has not step out and used the power or claimed the power available. ( We can not judge a persons heart or second guess what God is doing in their heart. ) Christianity is a personal relationship between you and the Lord. For me if a person says he has done it and believer I’m to treat them as family. God will do the rest.
Are there times when I should doubt their salvation and know God. Our task is to encourage and build up Believers no matter where they are. My task is no to serve they Lord and be true to His word, His promises and then my job is not to tell a christian what to do, but to be true to my testamony and life before the Father.
There are times in my life that I look and say how can they claim to be a Christian, do I really have to be a help to them? Yes because you do not know their heart or relationship to God. What you need to do is be true in your life at what God commands and know that God is the final word and we can rest in it. (I’m not the one that is in control of individuals. THAT IS HARD)
Spiritual Believers - We must be true to God’s word and live our lives in His control - The higher control does not make me responsible for a persons actions. It does make you accountable to God for yours
the Key is ultimately God is the one in control of Each of our lives and you are responsible for your life before the Father.
Our task is to pray for individual lives and growth in their Christian life.
You will change them when you pray for them and be an example before them.
Don’t for get God know the Yesterday and day and forever of each of his believers and unbelievers. It is not ours to tell we are to obey within our standard as Christ has open our eyes.
2 I fed you with milk, not solid food, for you were not ready for it. And even now you are not yet ready,
Christians are at all stages of their lives, and God is the one in control of their life now you, That is hard for me to comprehend .
I know what the Bible says, I know that is not God’s way, REALLY? God says I know every believer and I’m working it out in their life. You are here to make sure that they see the example and way of living for Christ. It will make a big difference In how you see people. I’m just like them I’m a sinner and I need to come before God daily and know that God forgives.
NO I do not feel that way and that is not my way, I know, I can help you , I can lead you!!!!!!!!!
Really,
Who is in control of your life?
Who in control of the other person?
God has created everyone different
3 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
4 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
What is the diffeerence between Milk and meat
In my understanding - and everyone sees it a little different but remember it is not me or you it is Christ that works in the individual life. You are the one that is living Christ in front of them and sharing your joy and joy experience with God in control.
Milk is the basics - giving them the Word of God and Truth for grows
Meat is whens you see them trusting God and the Spirit is growing inside of them.
Where are we today Does the Spirit of God control or are you dependent on your self and thank God for that. Think about that for a minuet
3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?
5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.
8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.
The rewards you notice it is not something that you hang up and show everyone it is glory of God rejoicing in your ..... Being what God wants you to be. We are so reward driven today that we want to show off what we do and it is God that gets the honor and Glory.
12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;
22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;
23 And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's. 1 Corinthians 3
