Terrible Time ( မုၢ်နံၤလၢအအၢသီ) 2 Timothy 3:1-5 ----- Hymn 204

တၢ်လၢအမၤဟး​ဂီၤဆၢကတီၢ်အဃံအလၤသ့ၣ်တဖၣ်န့ၣ် မ့ၢ် တၢ်ဒဲးဘးလီၤ. တၢ်လၢအမၤသံစ့ၢ်ကီးပနီၢ်ခိဒီးနီၢ်သးသ့စ့ၢ် ကီးမ့ၢ်အတၢ်ဒဲးတၢ် ဒဲးဘးလီၤ.

မုၢ်နံၤအၢသီမ့ၢ်ဟဲန့ၣ် တၢ်ကမၤအသးဒ်လဲၣ်? တဘၣ် ဃးလၢ အ မ့ၢ်ဟဲလၢၤဘၣ်, အဟဲတုၤအိၣ်ပှၤနီၢ်နီၢ်လံ.

Paul lists the characteristics of these people who claim to be believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, but are not. Each of these list centered around love of self. In the terrible times, the condition of human (bad to worse), but Paul encourage stand faithfully in his ministry.

၁. တၢ်အဲၣ်လီၤသး, ပှၤသးကွံစ့ (self love and lover of money)

Why did Paul started from self love? The rest of the passage flow from self.

What is self love? Those who refuse to love God. Everything from their thoughts to possessions does not delineate God’s glory.

တၢ်အဲၣ်လီၤသးအါ အဃိတၢ်သူၣ်လီသးကွံအါ, ဒ်သိးကမၤလၢပှဲၤအတၢ်သူၣ်လီသးကွံကန့ၢ်န့ၣ်ဃုကျိၣ်စ့အါအါ. ဃုတုၤဒၣ်လဲာ် သးပ့ၤနီၣ်ကွံာ် ကစၢ်ယွၤလၢအတ့လီၤအီၤ. ပှၤသ့ၣ်တဖၣ်အံၤ မ့ၢ် ဘၣ်ဆီတလဲကျိၣ်စ့ ဒီးကစၢ်ယွၤ ဆီတလဲကဲ.

ပှၤတနီၤနီၤစံး၀ဲ နမ့ၢ်တအဲၣ်လီၤလီၤနနီၢ်ကစၢ်သးဘၣ် န့ၣ်, နအဲၣ်ပှၤဂၤတသ့ဘၣ်. တူၢ်လိာ်သ့, ဘၣ်ဆၣ်တၢ်အဲၣ်လီၤပသးန့ၣ် ကဘၣ်မ့ၢ်တၢ်ဒ်ကစၢ်ယွၤဘၣ်သး မၢပအဲၣ်လီၤသး.

ပှၤအါဒ်အါဂၤဒုတအဲၣ်လီၤအသးဒ်န့ၣ်ဘၣ်, အဲၣ်လီးအသးဒ်ဟီၣ်ခိၣ်အကျဲ. ပှၤလၢအအဲၣ်လီၤအသးဒ်ဟီၣ်ခိၣ်န့ၣ် ဘၣ်ဃးဒီးဟီၣ်ခိၣ်ဒီးမ့ၢ်ယွၤအဒုၣ်အဒါလီၤ. (ယၤကိာ် ၄း၄, “ဖဲဒၣ်ပှၤလၢတၢ်မိၣ်ကဲဘၣ်အသးလၢဟီခိၣ်အတံၤသကိးန့ၣ်, ဒုးကဲထီၣ်အသးလၢယွၤအဒုၣ်အဒါလီၤ.)

တၢ်အဲၣ်လိာ်နီၢ်ကစၢ်သးဒီးတၢ်အဲၣ်ကျိၣ်စ့န့ၣ်ဘၣ်ထွဲလိာ်သးဒ်လဲၣ်?

ကျိၣ်စ့= ပှၤဟီၣ်ခိၣ်ဖိထံၣ်လၢအမ့ၢ်တၢ်စိတၢ်ကမီၤ.(money is power) ခီဖျိလၢတၢ်န့ၢ်အဃိ, ဃု၀ဲကျိၣ်စ့ဒ်သိးကအိၣ်ဒီးတၢ်စိတၢ်ကမီၤ ဒီး ကဲထီၣ်ကစၢ်ယွၤလၢအနီၢ်ကစၢ်ဒၣ်၀ဲကသ့အဂီၢ်. ဖဲလၢတၢ်သ့ၣ် တဖၣ်အံၤမၤအသးန့ၣ် ပာ်ကစၢ်ယွၤအိၣ်လၢအလီၢ်ခံကတၢ်ၢ်လီၤ.

ပှၤလၢအအဲၣ်လီၤအသးသ့ၣ်တဖၣ်န့ၣ် တဃုဆိယွၤအဘီမုၢ်ဘၣ်. အဃုဆိကျိၣ်စ့. Having money is good, but the moment when you started loving it, it will possess you. it will suck your blood and drain your soul. For the love of money open soul to Satan; continue lusting for more money, possessions, or power.

၁ တံၤမသ့း ၆း၁၀, “အ၈့ၢ်ဒ်အံၤတၢ်အဲၣ်ကျိၣ်စ့န့ၣ်မ့ၢ်တၢ်အၢတၢ်သီခဲလၢာ်အဂံၢ်လီၤ. အ၀ဲန့ၣ်ပှၤတနီၤနီၤဆၢန့ၢ်ဘၣ်သတးဒီး, ဃၣ်ကွံာ်အသးလၢတၢ်နာ်, ဒီးဆဲးဖျိးအသးလၢတၢ်ဂ့ၢ်အါမံၤလီၤ.

ယူဒးအံးစကါရံၤ- လၢစ့အဃိ----- (ဆီတလဲကျိၣ်စ့ဒီးတၢ်မူအထူယိာ်ကဲ)

ခဲအံၤစ့ၢ်ကီး ပှၤအါဒ်အါဂၤဆီတလဲတၢ်နာ်ဒီးကျိၣ်စ့ ဆီတလဲ၀ဲကဲ

လၢနီဆံးခါ, ပှတနီၤပှၤကွဲအီၤ လၢတၢ်ဘူၣ် တၢ်ဘါကရၢ အဂၤ, တၢ်ဟ့ၣ်အ၀ဲသ့ၣ် လၢကျိၣ်စ့. နုာ်လီၤ ၀ဲ.

လၢထံရူၢ်ကီၢ်သဲး ကတီၢ်ခဲအံၤ (လၢအမဲရကၤ) တခီ, ခိၣ်နၢ်သ့ၣ်တဖၣ်ပၢ တၢ် ဒီးဆီၣ် ကဖိထီၣ်၀ဲတၢ်လၢအတဘၣ် ယွၤအသးသ့ၣ် တဖၣ် မၤ၀ဲ (တ့လီၤ policy သ့ၣ်တဖၣ်လၢထီဒါ န့ဆၢၣ်အတၢ်လဲၤကျဲ, ထီဒါပှၤခရံာ်ဖိအတၢ်စူၢ်တၢ်နာ်)

ဘၣ်ဆၣ်, အစံး၀ဲလၢအဟ့ၣ်မၤစၢၤ တၢ်, မၤစၢၤပှၤဖှီၣ်ဖိယာ်ဖိ, ဟ့ၣ်အါထီၣ်ကျိၣ်စ့, ဟ့ၣ်၀ဲ (human right - most likely - self destruction) အဃိသတာ်ဒီး ပှခရံာ်ဖိ အါဒ်အါဂၤ တဆၢထၢၣ် လၢအတၢ်စူၢ်တၢ်နာ် ဘၣ်အမဲာ်ညါ မၤစၢၤ၀ဲခိၣ်နၢ်သ့ၣ် တဖၣ် လၢတၢ်ဆွံလီၤမဲ.

ကျိၣ်စ့ အသဟီၣ်, တၢ်အဲၣ်လီၤသးအသဟီၣ် ဆူၣ်ဒိၣ်မး

၂. ပှၤခိးထဲသိးလိာ်အသး, ပှၤပာ်ထီၣ်ထီအသး, ပှၤဒုးဒွဲၣ်တၢ် (Boast, Proud, Blasphmer)

ပှလၢအအဲၣ်လီၤသးသ့ၣ်တဖၣ် အံၤကတိၤဒိၣ်လီၤအသးသ့, အတၢ်မ့ၢ်တအိၣ်ဒၣ်လဲာ်ပာ်မၤသးလၢအတၢ်အိၣ်ဒီးကတိၤဒိၣ်လီၤအသးဒၣ်၀ဲလီၤ. ခီဖျိလၢအထံၣ်ဒိၣ်လီၤအသးအဃိ အပာ်ထီၣ်ထီ အသး.

အိၣ်မူဒ်သိးဟီၣ်ခိၣ်ချၢအံၤပှၤ ကဲပှၤကညီန့ၣ်မ့ၢ် အီၤတဂၤလီၤ. အိၣ်မူဒ်သိးသံတသ့ဘၣ်. ဒီး ပှၤသ့ၣ်တဖၣ်အံၤ ထီဘိန့ၣ် ကဘၣ်တူၢ်ဘၣ် special (feel special) treatment.

ပာ်ကဖၢလၢသး ဒ်အမ့ၢ်တၢ်အသိး. (This is who I am) ပှၤသ့ၣ်တဖၣ်အံၤ မ့ၢ် ပှၤလၢအဘၣ် ထီဘိလီၤ. ( I’m always right).

အလူၤဘၣ် အသး, ဒီး မၢအသးန့ၣ်ဆှၢအီၤ. သိၣ်ပှၤသ့ၣ် တဖၣ် အံၤ ဒီး အသး က ဒိၣ် ထီၣ် နၤ. အတအဲၣ် တၢ်သိၣ်ဃီၣ်ဘၣ်, ယမ့ၢ်ပှၤ သ့, ယသ့ၣ် ညါ တၢ်လၢာ်လံ ( I know it all). They believe in their own superiority and support their fantency. if you ever disagree with these people, they will ask you to educate yourself, and assume that you are a close- minded person.

ခီဖျိလၢ တဲဒိၣ် ဒီးပာ်ဒိၣ်သးအဃိ, အါစု အါဘျီ တၢ်ကတိၤလၢအဆူၣ် အကိၤ ဒီး တၢ်ပာ်သူၣ်ပာ်သးလၢအတဂ့ၤ ဘၣ်သ့ၣ် တဖၣ်ပိာ်ထွဲထီၣ် အခံလီၤ.

၀ံယရှါယၤ ၁၄း၁၃-၁၄, (Pride was the reason Satan lost his postion)

Isaiah 14:13–14 CSB

You said to yourself, “I will ascend to the heavens; I will set up my throne above the stars of God. I will sit on the mount of the gods’ assembly, in the remotest parts of the North. I will ascend above the highest clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.”

America value pride so much. They even have a whole month to celebrate. (June)

They are so advance in technology, medical----- and take take pride on that. They trust their material strengths, and soon find themselves conflict with God’s word. And they end up Blasphemer God

၃. ပှၤတစူၢ်ဘၣ်အမိၢ်အပၢ်ဘၣ်, ပှၤတသ့ၣ်ညါဘၣ်တၢ်အဘျုးအဖှိၣ်ဘၣ်, ပှၤတစီတဆုံဘၣ် (disobedient, unthankful, unholy)

Disobedient in Jewish mind is Rebellion, and rebellion against authority always implies revolt against God. Disobedience represtn destruction at home, society, and church.

And those who rebell against authority, they want atonomy.

Everybody want atonomy. “My body is my choice”--- that’s the sologan of atanomy.

But scritpure teach us that our body is not our own.

1 Corinthians 6:19–20 CSB

Don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought at a price. So glorify God with your body.

Most people are not happy with their body. They are trying to enhancing they body by destructing God given image.

as we can see, many people now a day have plastic surgery ( not because of health issue), but because they want to fashion their body. they reassign their body to opposite gender ( not because of health), but because they are not happy with what God has given them. They are being ungrateful the creator. It is like saying, God you are not a good artist. Let me fix your art.

since these people cannot be grateful to the creator, insted they are being disgrace to him by living unholy life.

Those who aren’t grateful to God cannot live a holy life.

and their moral characters are lacking.

Those who rebell the authority, they can not summit, and those that canot summit the authority of God, cannot live a holy life.

၄.ပှၤတအဲၣ်ဘၣ်အဘူးအတံၢ်ဘၣ်, ပှၤအသူၣ်တကၢ်အသးတလီၤဘၣ်, ပှၤပာ်တၢ်ကမၣ်လၢပှၤဂၤအလိၤကလီကလီ (unloving, inreconcilable, slanderers)

Those who love themselves have a harden heart. They have not natural affection. They do not have the love for their family.

Divorce rates are so high in america. Many families are ruined. Because some parents are unloving. They do not forgive, they hold grudge on others.

I am the boss, you have to listen to me. Weather what i do is right or wrong, you have to listen to me. you never do this for me, you never do that for me.

When their standered are not meet, they got mad, and do not forgive. This is happening everywhere.

Also in chuch, if you don’t do this in my way i will not participate. Many churches are borken and ireconcible.

because of the disagreements, some salanderes others on social media. (cuss at each other- not sure weather the news are true). They spread lies, rumor, gossip

In politic, they slander each others on each platform. (fox- rebublic- Cnn- democrat)

Sometimes these people cannot control themselves and they became brutal (commit crime).

And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.

if you want to love others, you’ll have to forgive them

And you don’t want war, you’ll have to fogive them but if you want peace you will need to forgive and love them.

you can forgive someone but don’t have peace in your heart. Some said, “I forgive but i can’t forget.”

But if you want true peace, you cannot only forgive, but also will need to love them.

Everytime when you need to forgive someone, think of how many time has Christ forgiven you.

၅.. ပှၤတအဲၣ်ဘၣ်ပှၤအဂ့ၤဘၣ်, ပှၤဟ့ၣ်လီၤကွံာ်ပှၤဂၤ, ပှၤလၢအတပလီၢ်ဘၣ်အသးဘၣ်, ပှၤလၢပာ်သးကဖိလိ (သ့ၣ်ညါတၢ်ခဲလၢာ်) (without love for what is good, traitor, thoughtless, and concieted)

Those who love themselves hate what is good.

there was a time when people see children as a blessing.

now most people see children as a burden.

There was a time when most people thought letting people live was good and killing was generally bad.

what was good now despite through abortion and euthanasia. (Europe & Canada- allow Euthanasia).

ဒီး တကးဒ်ဘၣ် အမဲာ်ညါ ပှၤသ့ၣ် တဖၣ်အံၤနနာ်အီၤအသ့ လၢၤဘၣ်. ခီဖျိလၢအအဲၣ်လိာ်အသးအါ အဃိ အမ့ၢ်ဘၣ်ထီဒါကွံာ်နၤ န့ၣ် မၤ၀ဲအသးတူာ်လီၤ.

တၢ်ကတိၤလၢ အမ့ၢ် FAKE FRIENDS, you might’ve heard of it often through teenagers. Fake things are unreliable, and it doesn’t last long.

everybody is taking benefit of one another.

And in the terrible time, people do not think much anymore. They react faster than their thinking process.

as you can see on social media, people react fast. They don’t know weather things are true or false but always ready to react and angry.

They are centered on what pleases themselves rather than what pleases God.

ပှၤလၢအဲၣ်တၢ်မုာ်လၤ န့ၣ် ဟ့ၣ်တၢ်ဆၢကတီၢ်လၢယွၤဂီၢ်တန့ၢ်ဘၣ်

ပအိၣ်လၢ ကီၢ်တဘ့ၣ်အံၤ တၢ်မုာ်လၤလၢ အထုးယံၤပှၤဒီးယွၤအိၣ်အါမး

ယွၤလုၢ်အီၣ်ပှၤန့ၣ်လၢပှဲၤလံ ဘၣ်ဆၣ် ပှၤလၢအလူၤဘၣ် တၢ်မုာ်လၤသ့ၣ် တဖၣ်တလၢပှဲၤလၢအဂီၢ် ဒံးဘၣ်

လူၤတၢ်မုာ်လၤထဲလဲၣ်န့ၣ် တၢ်ဟ့ၣ်လီၤတၢ်ဆၢအတီၢ် လၢတၢ်ဖးလံာ်စီ ဆှံ, တၢ်ထုကဖၣ်, တၢ်ပာ်စီဆှံသး, တၢ်ရ့လိာ်ဒီးယွၤ. ဒီး တၢ်မၤဘၣ်ထွဲလိာ်သးဒီး ယွၤအပှၤဂီၢ်မုၢ်န့ၣ် တအိၣ်လၢၤဘၣ်.

ပှၤလၢလူၤဘၣ် တၢ်မုာ်လၤန့ၣ် တၢ်တချုးဘၣ် သ့ၣ် တဖၣ် အါ မ့ၢ်ဘၣ်ဃးဒီးတၢ်မၤကစၢ် အတၢ်မၤ

Their lives are not transforming but conforming instead

These people may see so pious as well, sing hym, pray., maybe have a title in church. their outer apperance is A plus. However, their spiritual is dead.

At the end of the sentence, Paul said ပှၤဒ်သိးတဖၣ်န့ၣ်, ဟးဆှဲးအီၤတက့ၢ်. why do we need to avoid these people? These people are cultural “hero” and they can influence and change your life. 1 Cor 15:33

Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.”

The sad thing about the last day is not just about the unbelieving world, but it also feature a mixed church, which wheat and weeds growing together.
