A Room full of Wisdom
A Room full of Wisdom
Pray
As I think about my times here with this group, I always think of the things my grandmother has shared with me, and the realities that many of you have seen in your lifetimes. You have likely seen a lot.
Examples
Phone
TV
Cars
Society
All you carry the reality of how your lives started, that is unheard of today.
Grandma Hazel coming from Oklahoma. Horse and buggy to Visalia.
Grandma Norma growing up in school until 8th grade and how the classes were back then.
One car and one TV if you were lucky, and people listened to the radio if they didn’t have a TV.
Although there are many nice conveniences today, the times in the past caused people to unite as a family.
Wisdom was not only for the smart, but also for the simple. Anyone can get wisdom.
Knowledge can come from the schools or the books, but wisdom comes through experience.
How to bake a cake.
Reading directions, to second nature.
1 Wisdom has built her house, She has hewn out her seven pillars;
2 She has slaughtered her meat,
She has mixed her wine,
She has also furnished her table.
3 She has sent out her maidens,
She cries out from the highest places of the city,
4 “Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!”
As for him who lacks understanding, she says to him,
5 “Come, eat of my bread
And drink of the wine I have mixed.
6 Forsake foolishness and live,
And go in the way of understanding.
How does Biblical wisdom work in your life today?
10 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
What is difficult about being a Christian believer in your your life today?
What do you think of the world today?
Do you care about what others think at this point?
4 Even to your old age, I am He,
And even to gray hairs I will carry you!
I have made, and I will bear;
Even I will carry, and will deliver you.
God will carry you, and He will deliver you.
