Part 2

Ephesians 2:8–10 NKJV
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
Jeremiah 29:11 KJV 1900
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
God created you for success
but how do we define success
1 Samuel 16:7 NKJV
7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
1 Corinthians 3:13 NKJV
13 each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is.
Romans 12:1–2 NLT
1 And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. 2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
What i want to talk about today if we want to continue to be a success we have to continue being a living Sacrifice.
we have to live in a place were we are dependent on God and not our own ability
And so I want to look at the life of moses and show you something that maybe you have never seen before, I want to show you that you can know the call that God has on your life but if you are not a living sacrifice you will try and do things your own way and you will mess up the timing that God has for your life.
Exodus 2:1-15 NKJV
Acts 7:17-29 NKJV
Genesis 15:13–14 NKJV
13 Then He said to Abram: “Know certainly that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, and will serve them, and they will afflict them four hundred years. 14 And also the nation whom they serve I will judge; afterward they shall come out with great possessions.
Exodus 12:40–41 NLT
40 The people of Israel had lived in Egypt for 430 years. 41 In fact, it was on the last day of the 430th year that all the Lord’s forces left the land.
Galatians 3:17 NKJV
17 And this I say, that the law, which was four hundred and thirty years later, cannot annul the covenant that was confirmed before by God in Christ, that it should make the promise of no effect.
Exodus 3 the lord appears in the burning bush and tells moses to bring the children of Israel out.
Exodus 4:1-13 NLT
Hebrews 11:27 NLT
27 It was by faith that Moses left the land of Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger. He kept right on going because he kept his eyes on the one who is invisible.
Moses had to come to the end of himself
pick up the snake by the tail when you pick up a snake you don’t pick it up by the tail, but this was moses way of saying I’m going to obey God if it kills him.
and So what I want us all as followers of christ to see. is not only do we have to find Gods will for our life but we also have to find out his way of accomplishing his will for our life.
And we will not be able to do it if we are not a living sacrifice
Isaiah 55:8–9 NLT
8 “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. 9 For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.
You see if we do not make ourselves a living sacrifice by renewing our mind to that ways of God even if we do find his will for our life.
we will blow it like moses did because he thought his way of delivering the children of Israel was the best way.
Romans 12:1-2 amplified
