Jesus is the Creator

Colossians 1:15–20 NKJV
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.

Christ sustains the universe

Jesus is head & Lord over all
The entirety of the letter is stated here in these five verses.
Because Jesus is supreme over all things false teachings are futile
Jesus is the head of the body(The Church) universally all nations on earth.

The 1st in rank & position

The firstborn isn’t speaking of birth in a natural sense
Jesus is ruler & pre-eminent over all creation
In Him all things are reconciled making Him mediator & redeemer over the creation itself 2 Corinthians 5:19–21 “that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”
The term prōtótokos is used, then, because of its importance as a word for rank. As the mediator of the first creation, Christ is also the mediator of the new creation with his resurrection from the dead

Jehovah Witness’s & their confusion.

Jesus wasn’t created because some verses in the scripture say He was “the firstborn”
Jesus is the Creator, if so how can Micheal the archangel and Jesus be brothers

Main Points of Christology

• He is the visible form of the invisible God John 14:9 “Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?”
He is before creation:
John 8:58 “Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.””
In Him the universe coheres;Hebrews 1:2–3
but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
God is the Sustainer of the universe: He is not uninvolved, remote, detached and impersonal—leaving things to run themselves. He energizes all things according to the counsel of His will (Eph 1:11). He cares about the sparrow that falls to the ground, the widow, the orphan, and the homeless. But especially You
The Head of the Body; The Church
Matthew 16:18 “And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.”
The Firstborn from among the dead.
Revelation 1:18 “I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.”

The Fullness of The God-head was in Christ

Philippians 2:6 NKJV
who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God,

The Cross was How God had to make peace with sinful humans

Ephesians 2:14–16 NIV
For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility.
