YOUNG PASTORS NEED TO KNOW HOW TO SHEPHERD

Titus… “this is good doctrine!” RELATIONS
Peter feed my sheep (John 21:15-17)
“Tend My lambs.” “Shepherd My sheep.” “Tend My sheep.”
TEND: to feed, or take care of
SHEPHERD: look after, responsibility, oversight and care (watching / awareness)
Psalm 23
“We are His…”
He owns us
He is the EXAMPLE
He is the Chief shepherd… we are Under-shepherds
"Shall not want”
Keeps moving to healthy pasture… not stagnant
No cheat-grass… the real thing
“Restores soul”
Care not beating them, driving them
“going through valleys”
late nights
Hospital visits
Tough calls
Lead them to One who takes fear away
DO NOT LEAD WITH FEAR
Have an eternal perspective
Hold to a LITERAL, GRAMMATICAL approach to your studies and teaching of God’s Word
People are getting confused (books, podcast, radio shows, songs, counselors)
Fads are tempting but fade away quickly… however do not fear trying new things either!
Pray… Pray Intentionally!
