Psalm 23 ESV
A Psalm of David. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Genesis 3:19 ESV
By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread, till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”
1 Thessalonians 4:13–18 ESV
But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words.
Today we gather around this grave to comit Mrs Judy back to the lord
For 77 years we were blessed to have her in our lives
She was a gift given by god to us for this season..
and today we give her back to him.
Hope
As we stand her though, we are reminded of the hope we have to one day be reunited
as the bible says, there will be a day where Jesus will return
and those all over this cemetery who went to sleep knowing him..
will once again be called up in the air..
and we who know him will be called up with him as well..
Being reunited with those who have gone before us..
and living forever, together, with our lord and savior.
Until
Until that day
its our job to live as Christ has called us to live.
to live as mrs judy models for many years
Keeping our eyes on Jesus
ever ready for his return.
lets pray one more time
Prayer
Father one final time we thank you.. We thank you because we know that even though this moment is difficult, there is coming a day where we will be reunited with Judy. Thats the hope that we cling too in this time. We thank you that we had the priviledge and honor to know Judy. We thank you for the impact she had on our lives and the legacy that lives on in the earth because of her. But now, we give her back to you. You gave her to us, and we are returning her to you. We trust you to care for you in eternity as you have proimised in your word. We also trust you to care for us in this life, as you cared for her. Help us as we leave here today. Make your presences known in our lives and help us to navigate this new norm. Its in christ name we pray. Amen
