Transcript
National Repentance and Revival
if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
Prayer Focus: Pray for America to repent and return back to God and the Judeo-Christian values that this nation was founded upon and for a spiritual revival to sweep across our nation.
Pray for Our Current Leaders
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.
Prayer Focus: Pray for our current leaders, even those we disagree with, for their safety and for God to lead, guide, and protect them according to His will.
Submission to God’s Will
And He changes the times and the seasons;
He removes kings and raises up kings;
He gives wisdom to the wise
And knowledge to those who have understanding.
Prayer Focus: Pray for our hearts and minds to be submissive to the ultimate will of God in this election who can setup kings (presidents) and remove at His command.
Seeking God’s Wisdom
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
Prayer Focus: Pray for wisdom in making the right decision on how to vote according to Biblical principles this election and for our leaders to seek God’s wisdom as they develop policies that will determine the future of our nation.
Wage Spiritual Warfare Against Demonic Principalities
Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia. Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision refers to many days yet to come.”
Prayer Focus: Pray against the spiritual forces of darkness that are currently ruling over Washington, D.C. and other parts of the country and for their power to be dismantled and destroyed.
Praying for Unity
endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Prayer Focus: Pray for unity among the body of Christ despite our differing political views and for the demonic division that has taken over our country to be dismantled and destroyed.
Seeking God’s Righteousness
Righteousness exalts a nation,
But sin is a reproach to any people.
Prayer Focus: Pray for a return to righteousness of God as the foundation of how our country is governed and operated.
Courage to Vote
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Prayer Focus: Pray for courage for Christians across this country to get out and vote and let Christian values be the majority again and determine the outcome of this election.
Seeking for God’s Justice
He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justly,
To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God?
Prayer Focus: Pray for God’s justice to prevail through this election.
Expose Darkness in the Light of Christ
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light.
Prayer Focus: Pray for the demonic works of darkness that have prevailed in our political system in America to be exposed by the light of Jesus Christ.
Divine Direction
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
Prayer Focus: Pray for God’s divine direction in our decisions as well as for the leaders of our nation to seek God’s guidance on the right paths to take.
Prayer for Integrity
Let integrity and uprightness preserve me,
For I wait for You.
Prayer Focus: Pray for integrity in politics and for leaders who will govern with honesty, integrity, and transparency.
Acknowledge our Spiritual Poverty as a Nation
“Let the nations be wakened, and come up to the Valley of Jehoshaphat;
For there I will sit to judge all the surrounding nations.
Prayer Focus: Pray not only for our nation as a whole, but also for the communities in which we live and work, for God’s peace to be upon them.
Peace in Our Communities
And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the Lord for it; for in its peace you will have peace.
Prayer Focus: Pray not only for our nation as a whole, but also for the communities in which we live and work, for God’s peace to be upon them.
The Heart of a Servant
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
Prayer Focus: Pray for God to send us leaders who will have the heart of a servant and serve for the good of the nation and not to build their own kingdoms.
Hope for the Future
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Prayer Focus: Pray for God’s people to trust in His plans for our future in this life and retain our hope of the soon return of Jesus and the life to come.
Fill Your Mind with Good Things
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
Prayer Focus: Pray for God’s people to focus on what is true, noble, and right and that we would not get overwhelmed and burdened by all of the negative news.
Prayer for the Needy
Defend the poor and fatherless;
Do justice to the afflicted and needy.
Prayer Focus: Pray for those who are oppressed, forgotten, and persecuted in our country including our veterans, homeless, orphans, widows, and all those who are in need.
Love Over Fear
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.
Prayer Focus: Pray for the love of God to guide us in everything that we do and not to allow the spirit of fear to grip us regardless of the outcome.
Leaders with Good Hearts
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
Prayer Focus: Pray for God to raise up leaders who have good hearts, not just long resumes, and who will do the right thing once elected to office.
Confidence in God
It is better to trust in the Lord
Than to put confidence in man.
It is better to trust in the Lord
Than to put confidence in princes.
Prayer Focus: Pray that we as Christians will remember that our confidence should be placed in God and not in any political candidate.
The Gospel will not be Hindered
meanwhile praying also for us, that God would open to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in chains,
Prayer Focus: Pray that God would leave open doors in America for the gospel to be proclaimed without fear of persecution or censorship.
Vote for Candidates with Christian Values
When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice;
But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.
Prayer Focus: Pray that God will give us discernment to vote for candidates with Christian values and who will lead our country in accordance with God’s Word.
Stand With Israel
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
“May they prosper who love you.
Prayer Focus: Pray that God would protect and prosper Israel and pray for political leaders to be elected who will stand with Israel.
The Role of the Church
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
Prayer Focus: Pray that the church will become an even greater light in our communities as the darkness of evil grows darker and will be and even greater voice to stand up against corruption and demonic deception in our nation.
Pray for Integrity in the Media
Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord,
But those who deal truthfully are His delight.
Prayer Focus: Pray for truth in reporting and integrity in media so that it serves the common good.
Pray for our Supreme Court Justices
Who justify the wicked for a bribe,
And take away justice from the righteous man!
Prayer Focus: Pray for the integrity of those on the Supreme Court and for a president who will appoint justices who will judge in accordance with biblical morals and principles.
Secure Borders
but we ourselves will be armed, ready to go before the children of Israel until we have brought them to their place; and our little ones will dwell in the fortified cities because of the inhabitants of the land.
Prayer Focus: Pray for leaders who will work to secure the borders of our nation against those who would try to enter illegally and those who would come to try to cause harm to our people and our nation.
Accountability in Leadership
Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.
Prayer Focus: Pray that leaders who are corrupt, evil, and opposed to biblical values would be held accountable for their actions against God and God’s people.
Leaders Who Listen
So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;
Prayer Focus: Pray for our leaders to understand the importance of listening, first of all, to the voice of God and then to the voice of the people they serve.
The Importance of Hope
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Prayer Focus: Pray that God fills you and others with hope as we approach the election.
Love God and Love People
Jesus said to him, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
Prayer Focus: Pray that our nation as a whole, but especially our political leaders, will follow the greatest two commandments in the Bible: love God and love people.
A Call to Serve
For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
Prayer Focus: Pray that our love will not grow cold, but that we will seek for ways to serve one another.
God’s Provision
And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Prayer Focus: Pray that we will continue to trust God to provide for our needs regardless of what happens to our nation’s economy.
Enduring Through Trials
And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Prayer Focus: Pray for God to give us the strength to endure whatever trials, hardships, tribulations, or persecutions that we have to face.
A Heart of Worship
And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men,
Prayer Focus: Pray that regardless of the result of the election or the direction of our country that we will continue to serve God with a worshipful attitude in thanksgiving and praise to Him who holds it all in His hands.
Integrity in the Election Process
‘You shall do no injustice in judgment, in measurement of length, weight, or volume. You shall have honest scales, honest weights, an honest ephah, and an honest hin: I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt.
Prayer Focus: Pray for integrity in the election process that that any fraud would be exposed and excluded from the results so that we have a fair and democratic election.
Commitment to Truth
Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar. As it is written:
“That You may be justified in Your words,
And may overcome when You are judged.”
Prayer Focus: Pray that all lies and demonic deceit would be exposed prior to the election so that voters can make an informed decision based on the truth.
God’s Presence in Every Decision
Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
Prayer Focus: Pray that as we prepare to cast our votes we will seek God for His presence in our decision making.
Acceptance of God’s Will
Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!
Prayer Focus: Pray that regardless of the outcome of this election we will accept God’s will and respond accordingly.
