“God Want’s Us Miserable, Poor and Broke in this life”

Let’s continue on this series entitled,

"The Bible Doesn’t Say That”

Week 1: We saw that God doesn’t want us to have a Miserable Life. That Jesus came to give us a good life.

John 10:10 (AMP) 10 The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).

You will have to fight the good fight of faith for it, but it is obtainable.

We brought out that the biggest fight is our minds.

Romans 12:1–2 (NKJV) 1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Romans 12:1–2 (NLT) 1 And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.

2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Last week we saw that God’s will is that we’re not sick and miserable. Again these things don’t fall on us like ripe cherries off a tree. You got to push through.

Hebrews 10:35–39 (NKJV) 35 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. 36 For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:

37 “For yet a little while, And He who is coming will come and will not tarry.

38 Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.”

39 But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.

All of this is because of His great love for us.

This week I want us to see that “God doesn’t Want’s Us Miserable, Poor and Broke in this life”

A lot of people have problem’s with this but the Word is the Word.

We see people like Dave Ramsey trying to help Christians get out of Debt and live a good, generous life.

I have always said and will always say, you need to keep all things in order.

How should we prosper in this life. I believe that John put’s in all in the proper order.

3 John 2 (NKJV) 2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

3 John 2 (AMP) 2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and [that your body] may keep well, even as [I know] your soul keeps well and prospers.

3 John 2 (TPT) 2 Beloved friend, I pray that you are prospering in every way and that you continually enjoy good health, just as your soul is prospering.

True Prosperity for a Christian must begin in the Spirit, soul realm. If not you will always have to fight against the dictates of the flesh.

I try in my life to keep things in their proper order.

Prosper First:

Spiritually:

1 Peter 2:2 (NKJV) 2 as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby,

1 Peter 2:2 (AMP) 2 Like newborn babies you should crave (thirst for, earnestly desire) the pure (unadulterated) spiritual milk, that by it you may be nurtured and grow unto [completed] salvation,

Mentally

Romans 12:2 (NKJV) 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Physically

1 Corinthians 6:19–20 (NKJV) 19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Socially

Proverbs 3:3–4 (NIV) 3 Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. 4 Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.

Financially

If we keep things in this order, all will go very well.

Remember God is El Shaddai not El-Cheap-O.

He own’s the cattle on a 1000 hills and He doesn’t having a problem blessing His kids.

Psalm 50:10 (NKJV) 10 For every beast of the forest is Mine, And the cattle on a thousand hills.

I heard this classic joke:

A man asks God, "God, how long is a million years to you?"God replies, "To me, it's just like a single second. "Then the man asks, "God, how much is a million dollars to you? "God says, "To me, it's like a single penny. "So the man asks, "God, can I have a penny? "God smiles and says, "Sure, just give me a second."

That’s the way many feel is that God is holding everything back until we get to heaven but as we seen when we we’re teaching on Wisdom, that we need Wisdom to get many things in this life and i encourage you to go back and listen to those teaching’s.

Not everything in this life is for the devil’s kids, but again God wants you to keep Him first.

Deuteronomy 8:11–18 (NKJV)

11 “Beware that you do not forget the Lord your God by not keeping His commandments, His judgments, and His statutes which I command you today,

12 lest—when you have eaten and are full, and have built beautiful houses and dwell in them;

13 and when your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and your gold are multiplied, and all that you have is multiplied;

14 when your heart is lifted up, and you forget the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage;

15 who led you through that great and terrible wilderness, in which were fiery serpents and scorpions and thirsty land where there was no water; who brought water for you out of the flinty rock;

16 who fed you in the wilderness with manna, which your fathers did not know, that He might humble you and that He might test you, to do you good in the end—17 Then you say in your heart, ‘My power and the might of my hand have gained me this wealth.’

18 “And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

This scripture warns us not to become complacent and forget God's faithfulness, especially in times of abundance, when it's easy to take His blessings for granted.

Let’s remember that it’s The Lord has done great things for us, And we are glad. Psalm 126:3 (NKJV)

Well doesn’t the bible say that Money is the root of all evil. Well, let’s check it out.

1 Timothy 6:10 (NKJV)10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

It’s the love of money, again keep God first and let him bless you to be a blessing.

2 Corinthians 8:9 (NKJV) 9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for you're sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.

This verse shown’s us how Jesus, in His divine nature, gave up His heavenly riches and took on human form—experiencing poverty and humility—so that believers could receive the spiritual riches of salvation and eternal life. The "rich" here is often understood in a spiritual sense, referring to the blessings and grace we receive through Christ, and as we keep Him first is all things, He will bless us with things. There is nothing wrong with things as long as we keep them as stuff and not God.

Psalm 37:3–5 (NKJV) 3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.

4 Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

5 Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.

Don’t we want good things for our children. How much more God.

Matthew 7:11 (NKJV) 11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

Jesus is showing us that if flawed humans can give good things to their children, then how much more will God, who is perfectly loving and good, provide for those who seek Him. This is a message of God’s care and willingness to bless His children.

Again the one who was closes to Jesus tell us that God want’s to Bless us,

3 John 2 (NKJV) 2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

But again I want to say, Yes, God wants to bless us but if blessing get in the way of our devotion to Him, then cut it off.

Matthew 5:29–30 (NKJV) 29 If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.

30And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.

Matthew 6:33 (NKJV) 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Matthew 6:33 (AMP) 33 But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.
