Is Your God Big Enough to Create Our World in Six Days?

I. I Believe That God Created Everything in 6 Days, Not Thousands of Years

A. Genesis 1:5, States that the Evening and the Morning Were the First Day

Genesis 1:5 “5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.”

B. God Saw Everything That He Made, and the Evening and the Morning Were the Six Day

Genesis 1:31 31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

C. God Rested from His Creation on the Seveth Day

Genesis 2:2 “2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.”

II. The Trinity, God the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, Were Involved in the Creation

A. Hebrews Asserts That by His Son the Worlds Were Made

Hebrews 1:2 “2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;”

B. The Holy Spirit Had An Active Role in the Work of Creation.

C. The Holy Spirit is Pictured as Moving Over Creation

D. The Hebrew Word for Spirit is Ruah: Translated as Wind and Breath

E. The Psalmist Affirms the Role of the Holy Spirit When He States:

Psalm 33:6 “6 By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; And all the host of them by the breath (Ruah) of his mouth.

III. The New Testament Speak of Creation

A. Colossians States That All Things Were Created by Him

Colossians 1:16 “16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:”

B. Mark Says That God Created Male and Female in the Beginning

Mark 10:6 “6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.”

IV. Creation is Waiting for the Manifestation of the Son of God

A. Creation Earnest Wait for the Son of God

Romans 8:19 “19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.”

B. The Whole Creation Groans and Travails in Pain
