Filled with Encouragement
Filled with Encouragement
I have the highest confidence in you, and I take great pride in you. You have greatly encouraged me and made me happy despite all our troubles.
When we arrived in Macedonia, there was no rest for us. We faced conflict from every direction, with battles on the outside and fear on the inside. But God, who encourages those who are discouraged, encouraged us by the arrival of Titus. His presence was a joy, but so was the news he brought of the encouragement he received from you. When he told us how much you long to see me, and how sorry you are for what happened, and how loyal you are to me, I was filled with joy!
Paul received Great Joy When Titus arrived from Corinth.
His presence was a joy.
The news he brought from Corinth was also a joy to Paul.
After receiving Paul’s first letter - the severe letter, the news was that the Corinthians still loved and were loyal to Paul and that they had dealt with the big moral issue in the church.
The Encouragement of Paul,
The encouragement of a faithful friend. Personal Presence
The encouragement of the fellowship of obedient believers.
Notice that where Paul mentions being encouraged, he also says he was filled with joy.
Encouragement and Joy go hand in hand.
Are you an encourager?
Satan will bring lots of attacks on us to discourage us, But there is hope, strength, encouragement and joy available. Share it with others. And bring joy and encouragement to others by walking in obedience and faithfulness with the Lord Jesus Christ.
