The Son - the true man
The Son - the true man
Told two of my daughters this week of the great fundamental of Scripture, true patterns (Adam/Noah)
Three sons of God in the Bible before Jesus.
2 Sam.7.11-16 - “I will make you a house (dynasty) - he will be my son.
Ex.4.22 - Israel is my “firstborn son.”
Gen.5.1, Luk.3.38 - Adam is the son of God (1 Cor.15.45)
All were to lead all the world to God, filling it with His glory (Num.14.21)
Proverbs 30:4 “Who has ascended to heaven and come down? Who has gathered the wind in his fists? Who has wrapped up the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is his son’s name? Surely you know!”
They were to manifest righteousness and be a light. They all failed.
But Psalms 1-2 speaks of one who overcomes the world.
Only one ever did Psalms 1.1 - and he says, Psalms 2.7-9
Isaiah 9:6–7 “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.”
We become adopted sons through him, filling the earth with him.

Many choose a state of brokenness over a place with God.
God will scoff back (2.4-5).
The wicked laugh at the attempts of others to do right.

Show me what a man laughs at, and I will show you who is god is.
